Thanks Mover and Farley, awesome interview. How stupid is the military getting rid of an experienced pilot because he didn't get promoted.

Mover. I loved your interview with Farley. Didn't miss a beat! Like you, Farley is one great guy - what a career. One could only dream. I'm a committed fan of yours. Many thanks, N-6395T & free faller B6370, USPA. (as I've mentioned, the Piper Arrow is my all time fav. until the wings started falling off. ) :) Think I said that before. Hey, I'm 81, cut me some slack. :) USAF (Avionics Maintenance, Retired - a 100 years ago. 1977)

All you great guys always have to come to my humble town of Pensacola. I use to work for the fuel farm on nas Pensacola when I was 19 years old and put my hands on many many awesome jets. Crossed paths with so many awesome pilots like you guys... so humbled.

I feel really bad about my first reply because women are just so amazing and not saying great guys and gals really made me think about this so I’m sorry. I’ll forget when I was a your fellah “19” and working part time for the fuel farm there at NAS Pensacola and I was dispatched to fuel 2 T34 Bravos on the southline. When I pulled up and getting the hoses really to fuel I notice a abnormal small-ish person getting out of the cockpit, so as I approached them one of the pilots removed it’s helmet. And I noticed a blonde hair and blue eyes and very very beautiful lady/pilot looks at me and said hey! She’s all yours. I was so blown away by her beauty and as the AV gas smell blows through her blonde hair I froze for a few seconds and then I said Yes ma’am thank you Have a great evening.

I taught English at the middle school and adult education level for many years. I had originally planned on an aviation career after earning my PPL my second year in college. By my senior year, I had to change plans and started working on a high school math teaching credential, but found English, unexpectedly, to be a lot more fun. I think both of these authors would shine at the junior college level in the English department, and would certainly be good for your average student in need of solid role models.

Loads of gas, loads of countermeasures, loads of protection and redundant systems, plenty of time to react given how slow it is, and you're only gonna be called in once any air defences are clear.

Yeah the internal politics is kinda crap. I have a friend in the airforce and he complained about the nepotism. Got promoted to NCO in the end so I was super happy for him. He works really hard but gets screwed over by the ones who play office politics.

Got a stupid question. Are the or were the T38s built from older F5s? I know the main difference is the wings but the bodies are similar if not the same. Thanks for your service. I always wanted to be in the military and/or a pilot in the airforce. I didn't quite pass the ASVAB for the Airforce but barely made it for the NAvy and dislocated my shoulder right before going to MEPS and was denied everywhere. Of course that was a long time ago going on 10 years. Love your videos and your content. Not to mention your books!

@@CWLemoine Absolutely not..sorry if I misdirect the question actually was for you, I had see you videos flying the F18 on DCS , and I just want to have a general idea about systems avionics , in the last patch the implemented jammer radar which turn off the A/A radar, or just disable it temporally. There is a theory that is do to over consumption of electrical systems in the hornet, so they both, the jammer and A/A radar cant not be on together???

Farley, I was on the 2003 deployment on the Roosevelt. I do not remember any applause until we were told of our first port call. Not sure if you had any visibility on this at the time, do you remember that idiot 60 pilot who got in a fight with the Greek police? Ha ha still makes me laugh thinking about that, not sure what he was thinking.

Lol, “Tijuana before it was dangerous.” I’ve lived in San Diego pretty much most of my life, and spent quite a bit of time in Tijuana, both in High School and since. TJ and ‘“La Frontera” has always been dangerous, especially if you stray from the touristy “cater to drunk gringos” areas. It feels like, the more you know the more danger is revealed to you. That said, it can be a great time, it’s residents can be some of the best folks you’ll ever meet, with great sports to enjoy, awesome food, a solid craft beer scene these days, and if you keep a good head on your shoulders, the dangerous aspects are manageable. Especially if you keep in mind that the danger is part of the reality. But to say there was a “before TJ was dangerous” era is a sign of blissful ignorance more than anything else.
