I think Armand had a hypnotic hold on Daniel's mind that he placed on him when Daniel was younger. That hold looks like it's starting to weaken possibly due to Daniel's Parkinson's, which is a degenerative neurological disorder. That may be the reason Daniel is starting to have flashbacks and remembering things that Armand probably suppressed in his mind.

Showrunner have confirmed next season would be based on The Vampire Lestat, yes he gives his backstory in the book but he does it as a response to Louis/Daniel publishing their interview, the books themselves exist in the universe, Lestat writes most of them as autobiographical and they are from his POV starting with TVL and continuing in Queen of the Damned and The Tale of the Body Thief. He’s the protagonist of the book series, Louis is just the protagonist of book one and is mainly a supporting character after Interview, he is more important in later books though after he and Lestat fully reconcile

@@freddyjafar1490 not yet, but Rolin Jones (the showrunner) has mentioned his plans for it, I’m pretty sure they haven’t announced it yet because they’re renaming it to coincide with the second book in the series, The Vampire Lestat. It would make sense since the show is using the Part I and Part II subtitles from the way the Interview book is divided.

That's why i always find it weird how some of the fandom are mad that s3 might be about lestat's pov and that louis might become a second character when lestat's always been like the main character of the books 😅

The second book Vampire Lestat is important, it is the way Lestat appeals to Louis, Lestat wrote a book as a reply to the interview book with Louis, so that Louis could understand about him and also his background story, in Vampire Lestat book, after long decades, they reunited again, it's because of Lestat's book Louis finally coming back to him

I hope Louis is still the main character along with Lestat in S3, because in the Vampire Lestat, Louis’ existence only appeared at the end of the book and it’s getting worse for next books because Anne Rice kinda want to erase Louis’ existence and gave Lestat 100 new love interests while Louis was nowhere to be found even only appeared less than a page in TTOTBT books not until book fans complained because Louis just disappeared in the books with Lestat suddenly fall in love with many new characters and she went back to her sense and wrote about Louis again lol if the show erase Louis’ existence after this season I think the audience wont like that, Jacob Anderson is phenomenal, making him as a cameo for next seasons is impossible

@@supersonic_ok Losing Jacob as Louis would dampen my excitement a lot. This is an adaptation and they've showed they can make changes that make sense and stand on their own (like the idea about a second interview, brilliant) so I hope they'll find a way to include him more somehow.

I don't think Louis is standing up for Claudia enough When armond wanted to punish her by having her wear the dress constantly I don't know why he didn't put a stop to that immediately

Because it's what Claudia wanted, to be with them. she left Louis and then blames him for leaving her when she's the one that keeps leaving

@@Kennia1998you are exactly right. Claudia made it clear that she wanted a life with the coven, and that Louis was not enough. Now she is having to deal with the consequences of her decision. Louis gave her the look like "don't look at me, you're the one who wanted this."

I love how so many reactors on KZfaq end up being at a loss for words and just say how good the show is over and over again 😂 It really does defy description. The showrunner, Rolin Jones, has said that season 3 is the reason why he wanted to make the show. That would be based on the second book, The Vampire Lestat. It is highly likely that it will be done in a similar style to this season, where some of it is present day and some is Lestat telling his life story. The actors are quick to point out that we have not yet seen the real Lestat, but we will be getting him next season and I cannot wait!

Each episode seems to get better and better. The play that Claudia is part of was done so well. I would love to see that type of stage concept and design in real life lol. Watching Daniel have little bits of memory come back to him was interesting to see. When Armand was in the art gallery with Louie (and Lestat) I was thinking that the story he was telling was partly true and quite manipulative too. I don't for a second believe his maker is dead. I love the interactions with Louie and his conscience (Lestat). It makes me appreciate Louie's POV and his suffering more. I'm really looking forward to the next episode too!

(Book spoiler) Armand said that his maker was set on fire, not necessarily that he was dead, though it was implied. Armand doesn’t know whether Marius is alive or dead at this point in the books, but seeing as Marius didn’t come back for him for centuries after the fact, and left him in the hands of the horrible coven, he is left to assume that it is true.

Freaking amazing episode! My favourite episode of the season! But damn Louis is making some awful decisions and Dubai is a mess😂. Louis letting go of Lestat's Hallucination broke me, also Armand's horrifying backstory, not to mention the abuse Claudia goes through. Everyone is just mistreating her and picking other people over her. Love your reactions!

11:18 yeah, they have dream lestat or ghost Lestat in the show strictly because Lestat wasn't in this section of the book..he was "dead" still. And so they added dream Lestat.... As a way to keep Sam Reid on the show... Otherwise, he just wouldn't be here this season/ part 2. I think it's a WONDERFUL addition but I think I definitely agree with you that I'm excited for when Lestat fully returns to the show... Which will be in season 3 when they adapt his book.... So I think everyone is really hoping that the show gets green lit for season 3... I love dream lestats quips and sass... But I'm excited for when he returnd in full as himself. Bc dream lestats personality is filtered through Louis' perception of him and what Louis thinks Lestat would be saying In the moment..

I think the pictures and audio Daniel was looking at the end was put on his computer by the Talamasca. Along with the list of suspected victims. If you look at the top right of the page it says Talamasca on it. The Talamasca probably had Louis and Armand under surveillance when Daniel met them in the seventies. They didn't intervene because they are supposed to be neutral. They just observe and monitor. Is anyone else connecting the news article about the Theatre de Vampire burning down (also provided by Talamasca) with Louis developing his fire gift? He said that he seems to do it better when he thinks of something that pisses him off. I'm anticipating an eruption of anger from Louis that results in the burning of the theater.

Wildest conspiracy ...Louis became a serial killer when they got to Paris and Armand is his parole officer ,trying to control his memories/triggers .....how did Louis go from not wanting to kill a human in New Orleans to hunting people to rage killing ......just an idea

@@sammymonstar5358 that's an awful cynical view of that. I don't think Armand was trying to make Louis pity him. Louis asked him who he was, and Armand told him his past. I think Armand is genuinely traumatized, and doesn't want to be coven leader anymore. He desperately wants out of his situation, and confided his feelings and insecurities to Louis.
