I totally thought Louis deliberately lied about the number of men he had brought back to the apartment so as to not scare Daniel away. Although, maybe Daniel would have been into that??? lol. I'm so in love with Louis and Daniel working together to trade perspectives and piece this one huge memory back together. Then that becomes this oasis of genuine care and friendship -- a brand new thing for either of them; a friend! Surprising and beautiful. This episode was INCREDIBLE and I can't wait to see how the rest of the misery plays out. 😭 There's for sure **more** deception from Armand, but I refuse to assume anything specific.

There's a 2023 horror movie called Jagged Mind about this couple where one of them keeps rewinding time and erasing the mind of their partner in order to build the perfect relationship over and over again. This episode reminded me of that. Just wow....incredible performances 😢😢

Armand ignoring Louis' pleas for help to be put in his coffin, and not bringing him any blood to heal for a few days. He was basically punishing both Louis and Daniel at the same time. I was wondering when we'd see more of this side of him, after Assad's interview w/Autumn where he said he really liked the 'ugly' side of Armand. The "Gremlin"👀

This episode was amazing. I loved watching Daniel and Louis working together to figure out what Armand has been doing. Parts were hard to watch. Some of the things Louis and Armand said to each other after Louis attacked Daniel was just....oof. But also I finally understood Louis and Armand have been lying to each other for such a long time. Louis resents Armand but also feels he needs him - and I believe Armand has convinced Louis psychically of this. Armand loves Louis, feels guilt, and hates that he cannot be everything that Louis wants and needs. He wants to be adored by Louis. Armand seems so toxic but I also feel bad for the guy even while I can see his love has been warped into something awful. I don't think I'll ever understand Armand's need to be controlled while also controlling.

In an odd way Daniel did have a point. Louis was wasting his potential as a vampire and wailing in self pity

That be hilarious if Armand got his hunting idea from a movie, just imagining Louis bringing him to a theatre to watch hard target and Armand just talking about how clever the idea would be for rich vampires like himself.

I loved the Present Day interactions between Daniel and Louis. They're bonding. They're collaborating. They're one anothers only friends. The way they stand up beside one another to face Armand at the end of the episode echoes the end of season one, when Louis and Armand stand next to one another holding hands and facing Daniel--but this is a moment of honesty rather than deception. Great end to the episode!!!

I love this show so much! I took the "Claudia didn't love you back," to mean it was different than the mature adult full service companion love of Lestat or Armand. I fully believe Louis has his own perceptions of the world and relationships around him and so it's good to see when he gets called out by others.

So I noticed that Louis tells Armand to spare Daniel and he will stay with him, which I find interesting because he does the same with Lestat with turning Claudia. Like you said it’s a manipulation thing, Louis craves the toxicity but with Armand it’s not enough because like you said Armand loves Louis more then Louis loves him, when Louis loves lest at more. Love the way you do your videos! ♥️

I believe that Louis asked Armand to erase some memories to ease the pain, but maybe armand took it a bit too far

The remaining podcasters/posters are sloppy and can never articulate what they are seeing and never get names , timeliness, or places correct which becomes tiresome. Honestly, I have never gasped during this show till Louis called Armand boring. Oof! That argument was meant to cut each of them deep.

This episode was my favorite! PERIOD (but all of season two episodes are my favorite). Assad's version of Armand is PERFECTION!❤❤❤ He READ THE BOOKS! He is EVERYTHING that I want a live version of Armand to be! He slayed (or should I say bite) in this episode. And I can't get over with his beauty. He is like a painting, so beautiful. And, I love the young Daniel. I wish we have the young Daniel than the old one, I really like him. And Louis being miserable as always, but I love him. And I cried when he tried to S himself, and telling that he heard Claudia.❤😢 I was mad at him (but loving the petty fight) for yelling at Armand, but in the end, I just want to hug him, he is so broken and I just want to make him feel better. This episode made me gagging, puking, crying. I absolutely love it!❤😂 Assad and Jacob did an amazing job. Their acting was astonishing, magnificent! I hope they won an award for their role, they deserve it! Armand is my favorite in the show, I thought tv version of Lestat will have my heart, like in the books, but sadly, he is my least favorite (except for season two ep 3). I do hope they redeemed him because I love Lestat in the books (and 90's movie). S*** will go down in the next episode. And, I can't wait!!!

Your comments about the rock garden made me think, “Why is this apartment so greige?” Maybe that is why Louis so sad. Their place needs some brighter shades on the walls or maybe some green plants that require little to not light? :) But they are living in a lumpy gray pillow as opposed to the softest beigest pillow?

I think the twist will be that Louis says something dumb in Paris against Claudia, they forever coffin Claudia, Louis burns the place down, being an idiot doesn’t realize he’s the one that killed her and Armand takes the blame (replacing Louis memory)…and now that Louis is starting to remember, he’s gonna realize that he’s really horrific, possibly worse than Lestat/Armand. Excited to see what’s gonna happen

One more thing. When I heard Armand and Lestat talking I was like 🥺. Lestat trying to tell Louis he loves him through Armand and Armand unable or unwilling to let those words out. It was beautiful and awful at the same time. But also confusing. All those decades later has Lestat forgiven Louis? Was it even real? That's not something Louis would've heard. So how is he remembering it? So much more to figure out. I'm really hoping to see Lestat's pov next season. There has to be another season!

It's giving that situation when a person thinks they have a secret that they really hate about themselves but really everyone had that same issue the whole time. The whole world is a vampire but they are just over it.

I don’t see Armand recalling his first memory to Daniel (and it being different than what he said in the museum) as him lying. I think when you share stories with ppl, you don’t necessarily start at the same spots. It’s dependent on how the conversation begins and what’s relevant as a starting point. In the museum, him starting with his time as Amadeo is bcuz it’s significant to the painting and tying in the brothel as the entry point to becoming Amadeo. He doesn’t specify any of these as being first memories, but they are pinnacle aspects of times in his life.

It’s interesting that Louis hears Claudia calling to him, but the way it’s represented is not even close to his Lestat hallucinations. What I mean is, in Paris when he sees and hears Lestat, we see and hear Lestat. All we get here is the sound of birds-which, in itself, is reminiscent of his brother’s speaking with birds we don’t see.

Louie and Armand seems like very messy codependency thing going on....and Lastat is the King Narcissist....messy toxic romance gay vampire show and I'm loving it !!! Gwad Damn😂😂😂

It’s devastating to find out you’re the rebound. So many sacrifices Armand made to make Louie stay. Deep down Armand knew.The Interview was Louis passive way to call his lover home. It was heartbreaking for Armand to hear Lestat calling for his love and know if Louie heard him he would go.

I was done when Louis said, " you want to do it now? He's out a little longer when the ships are in" 😂 It was interesting that Armand say, " so Lestat will track you down AGAIN ". Curious wording. 😮

I have a feeling the end of this season is gonna to see Armand finally revealing the location of Lestat to both Louis and Daniel and they go to finally meet him. This would pretty brilliantly set up the future of the series while still also possibly maintaining the premise of an interview. Season 3 could see Louis and Daniel sitting down for Daniel to interview Lestat and cover the material of The Vampire Lestat. There will of course be changes along the way but I’m just trying to think how they could organically move beyond the events of the first book. This would all enable them to keep the core characters all involved in the story except for Claudia of course. I just wanna add too Daniel says in I think episode 1 or 2 of this season that “I really gotta meet this guy” in reference to Lestat and I feel like that’s an indication he will in fact meet Lestat.

armand was justified for the withholding of help…louis spiraled out of control, drinking drug addicts, pining over his lover whom he tried to kill, almost killed daniel and the almost killed himself. like why is only armand the bad guy in this episode. louis was as much a dick as he was.

I don't think that Armand telling Louis who is was is the same as saying his 1st memory. He just started from his making rather than his childhood.

I think ... and maybe this is in the books and everyone else knows it and I'm about to say something super obvious - I think Armand has erased Louis' memory regarding what happened to Claudia. Back in '73, it seemed like Louis wasn't quite comprehending whether or not Claudia was gone, as in dead-gone. I honestly don't remember, in the present, if Louis has indicated Claudia is dead, or if his conversation about her is ambiguous enough for him to simply think she's gone and doesnt want to be found. And even if not, it begs the question, what other lies is their picture perfect Dubai life based on? What has been withheld.

In the book Merrick, Louie lays in the sun all day due to guilt from turning Merrick into a vampire. David Talbert told Louie he would end him if he did anything to Merrick. Louie even gave David his word, but didn't know Merrick was a powerful witch from the Mayfair family and cast a spell on Louie to deliberately make her a Vampire. Loise death brought back Lestat from Oblivion where he went catatonic on the chapel floor for years after the events of Memnoch the devil.

And listening to the Audiobook again at the beginning. Louis did not like Lestat, just stayed with him because he felt like he needed him. That's why he didn't say I love you back after Armand's Telemessage from Lestat. Lestat isn't called a Brat for nothing.
