I started on Rebels when it was first coming out.I was one of those people who was thinking that it looked interesting from the first couple of trailers.I was not one of the naysayers who thought that it looked stupid because it was animated. And I. Loved season one so much that I went back and binged all Six seasons of the Clone Wars after buying them so that I was completely caught up

Whoah! I thought that was an empty chair at first, I kept assuming he would come into frame at some point, but no! Might be because I had the video in a tiny window while doing other things. the idea is that the Acolyte is a budding sith, I too loved seeing the Jedi Temple uncrowded.

Okay Kat, where have you been hiding Parker? It's clear they are the Master, young Padawan. 😜 Welcome to the channel Parker. I'm so glad you both liked it. I've heard so many people trash the show already - I literally heard someone say there was nothing good about it, and I'm like 'What show were you watching?!'. I really liked it. As I watched the episode, my two theories were twin sister or shapeshifter assassin, which we've also seen in this universe. I hope at some point we get a Darth Bane mention somewhere. I really want to read more of the High Republic books now, but like Parker, I've only read a bit of the first one. Can I suggest as a title for these reactions 'Gallifrey Pals get Hyper'? It seems very on brand for you both, plus the Hyperdrive is the common means of propulsion for ships in this universe, as the Warp drive is in Stat Trek. Can't wait for the next one.

While all temple guards carry yellow saberstaffs, a yellow lightsaber isn't necessarily indicative of being a temple guard. While rare, some Jedi do carry yellow lightsabers just as is. You can also distinguish via the shades of yellow. Most yellow sabers, like Yord's, are a gold-ish yellow. The temple guard saberstaffs are a very bright yellow.

Parker's smile reminds me of Jimmie Fallon, in a good way. My only complaint of the series is wasting Carrie-Anne Moss, who could have been a center piece of the late High Republic films. But who knows, it might be that Carrie-Anne Moss only wanted a shorter role for her own reasons. Love the droid pilots... are the chairs as well.

6:46 love Rebels. Such a great show. 12:43 yup. Disappointed with that but I’m sure we’ll get some flashback moments this season. 17:41 great attention to detail by Parker. Didn’t notice that when I watched. I enjoyed this episode. Enjoyed your reaction to it. Great first reaction by Parker. Great details and knowledge. I like the Gallifrey Pals name choice. I’m torn between wanting to hear a polished version of a Gallifrey Pals song intro and just hearing a track of Parker saying it over the intro.

I have mixed feeling right now. CAM is one of the reasons I wanted to watch this, gone in the first 10 minutes. Then I was thinking, suppose Osha was suffering with an IID? No, another evil twin. The fight scenes are the best part of this so far (I've seen the 2nd ep. already). Parker is not what I expected, but also exactly what I expected, hahaha!! I'll be sticking around. I will check out that comicbook podcast!

I promise to be nice, unfortunatly can't promise to share some SW funny tips since I haven't any >.< Edit2: I love how they called the twin thing from the begining. I thought it was some time-travel going on. I've not been a big fan of the live-action Star Wars shows we've had the last few years (save for Andor), but based on this first episode, things are looking pretty promising. The performances are pretty good, especially Amandla Stenberg and Lee Jung-jae (it's hard to tell he didn't speak any English before taking on this role), the choreography is excellent, and the big mystery is already shaping up to be pretty interesting. Pretty good work so far, and I'm definitely interested to see if this show can keep up the momentum (and also temporarily restore my engagement in this franchise). A few extra points: - As much as it upset you both, it was definitely a canny move to kill off Carrie-Ann Moss in the first few minutes; you subconsciously see her as a badass due to her being Trinity, and having her die like this is a shocking moment that effectively establishes the new enemy as a big threat and leaves you engaged by the mystery. - I love how we're already getting signs of exploring the faulty dogma and ideology of the Jedi, it's an aspect that I really enjoyed seeing in the prequels, the Clone Wars show and more recently The Last Jedi, so I'm certainly interested to see what the show does with this. - Hey Kat, the show you were thinking of was Russian Doll, which was co-created by Leslye Headland, who is the showrunner for The Acolyte; unsurprising that she's bringing several cast members from that show along with her, with Charlie Barnett and Rebecca Henderson (who is also her wife IRL) in key roles here. - That closing theme is really cool, sounds as sinister and ominous as you'd expect from the guy who's scored Jordan Peele's films.
