I love that you are choosing to be a home maker and make your own things. I grew up in a home with 4 girls and my mom did alot of sewing to clothe us. She love to make us all matching dresses...😉a mennonite thing 😄. She made most of our food, canning, freezing, baking, gardening, sewing, she was amazing. I’ve been watching your channel since you lived in NC. I’m 66yrs. old. I’ve been divorced for almost four years. I’m probably not your normal follower, but I really enjoy your simple life. Oh Adaline, this video warms my heart so much! It's so encouraging to hear someone expressing an interest in following God and teaching their children to do the same and to live a slower lifestyle. God will truly bless you and Cory for this decision. Thanks for sharing. My husband and I grew up in Christian homes and brought our 3 children up in a Christian home. Last week, we became first time grandparents!!!

Hi Adaline, I love that you shared your heart with all of us! I think it is wonderful that you are embracing what makes you feel good. Often we tend to be concerned with what other's think, but as you know God wants us to be concerned with what He thinks. I've also been feeling this way in my own spirit lately, and I've really been clinging to His Word. My eyes, my heart has been open greatly in the Lord most recently. Hi Addie, I have been watching you since you lived in the little farmhouse on Cory’s family property. You have grown up since then!! You have always been a wonderful, kind, and caring Mother to your girls! You are the first person I ever watched on you tube and I was so excited to see what you posted every day. I was going through Nursing school at the time and it was a nice break for me. I like that you are intentional about what you do and don’t follow the crowd. Please don’t ever lose that. I am 55 years old but I have always looked up to you as an example and you made me consider God also and that is a big thing. Keep being you ❤

I am so excited to see what you have to share. To be honest I am 70ish and I don’t need to cook a lot. However, I still like seeing your ideas. Most of all I love your character and finding out what you’re doing. I started watching you during the pandemic, I was newly retired, I had just experienced the death of two close family members. Adaline, thank you so much for your candor. I think I have said this before, but I feel like we're soul sisters. All of this really resonated with me! I have been pursuing minimalism and slow living for several years now. I have been focusing on intentional living and that includes intentional spending. I too don't ever shop at Walmart anymore, and I rarely shop at Target. I like to purchase things from local boutiques, thrifted things, and from small artists on Etsy. I can really relate to having rigid "rules" and schedules and I realize it is a way that I use to control my environment since there are things in life that feel out of control right now. I just have to say, you truly are wise beyond your years! Everything you've talked about took me until I was in late 30s/early 40s to understand! Thank you for sharing your heart with us today!💗

Hi Adaline! I'm new to your channel as of the last few months, and I noticed right away how 'hard you love' your family. What I mean by that is you take the care & attention to make sure you are doing your best for your family-whether that be cooking, organizing, or running a household. You're intentional and I see how beneficial that can be. Your faith also shines in all the tasks you do to be a good person for you and your family. I don't know how to say this without coming, idk. "off"... But I'm proud of you! This REALLY kicked me in the butt, and warmed my heart. I really do LOVE your content, but I'm just frankly impressed with the fact that despite todays day in age, with our generation, stepping BACK from social media, etc. I've been honestly fighting myself with MAKING MYSELF be MORE in social media, because thats what my generation does (having been born in 90), And frankly, has been ridiculously overwhelming. I was a single parent for a while myself with my oldest. And now with a toddler, and my husband, and us as a family of four, I'm often SOOO busy doing so many things at once to keep things going, I often forget about me. Thank you for the encouragement! Hi Adaline! I've been around since the end of 2018, beginning of 2019 and I love to hear your inner thoughts and revelations. You know who I am; I'm a mother of 6, born again Christian, from Sweden and I am so excited for you and your family's new house and living situation. I recognize myself so much in you, even though I'm much older and has a totally different background, so I can't wait to see more videos coming. Adeline, the Lord has blessed me directly through your content; and especially this video. I wasn’t aware of your whole backstory, as I mainly watched your meal prep videos, but I’m grateful for your vulnerability in sharing what you have here. I also have had to work through marital trauma, and I feel like I can relate to your coming into yourself again. I have had a similar experience recently, of entering into freedom again to be myself before the Lord. I also love meal prepping, thifting, and being a mom! Looking forward to more of your content! I have been watching for over a year, and I have 3 boys, 10 years and under, and I also homeschool and am a "city-living homesteader". 😄 I never comment, but I love watching! I loved hearing your heart!! It was beautiful hear and I appreciate the authenticity. I specifically related to your processing of social media and the maturity of choosing to let yourself be who God created you to be instead of fitting a certain mold. I've been on the same journey and when God asked me to step away from all social media 1.5yrs ago I did and I thought it would be a short break, but I never went back and I can't recommend the freedom more! 😁

Honey your testimony is a heartfelt blessing. Gods hand is never shortened by our circumstances and life events. The Word teaches He has a plan for each of us in Psalms. Been watching for quite some time. Just became a Great Grammy this week! I’m a minimalist and enjoy the simple life. I live in a small town and there are numerous Mennonite and Amish families around my community. I enjoy talking with them. They were a blessing for comfort and prayers when my oldest Son passed away. I’m blessed with 3 GrandDaughters. Your personality reminds me of a Great Aunt who taught me so much. Though I’m seasoned in life at this age; grateful your one of the youngins I watch that can relate with any age. Look forward to your videos you’ll have going forward.

I completely agree with the comparison thing with social media. I realized I needed to stop looking at particular videos just to not feel "less than." Thank you for sharing your story. I have not been here from the beginning and I do not comment often, but I have been watching your channel for a little over a year now and enjoy your content. I am from Alaska, a mama of 3 boys that I homeschool. We will be married 16 years in November. I do a lot of sewing and sew all of the clothing we wear and I enjoy thrifting. Last year we sold our home and moved away from town closer to my family and so this year I am able to grow a garden. We also got us some laying hens. So a lot of what you are doing right now, I can relate to it very much and I am enjoying seeing how you are settling into your new home. 💕

I’ve been watching your channel since you lived in the farmhouse. I’m glad you are doing what is right for you and your family. I’m learning to slow down in life as well. Simple living, slow living. I think that brings peace. I use to absolutely love your DIY’s. You would tackle anything and I so enjoyed it. I think you were one of the first women who I started watching KZfaq who used power tools and would dive into painting cabinets, redoing floors and such. You led the way girl…. Love your beautiful family. Stay true and close to God. He will show you the way. God Bless!!

Oh my goodness Adeline! Your video has been a tremendous gift to me. I have experienced similar trauma in my life. Like you, I have come out on the other side of it and know peace like I’ve never known. I have been a perfectionist since I can remember. I have been working to change that but it keeps creeping back. My life is quiet as I live quite a way from family. About a year ago I started canning again and I’m still trying to get back to gardening. Living a life that is pleasing to the Lord is my joy every day. I had never put together that my life had become so driven by production and a schedule. I have felt so guilty if I didn’t feel like working. I felt like I needed a better schedule less to take care of. You have given me so much to think about! The gift of peace and contentment is “The Gift”. I have built such a wall around myself. It’s going to take time to reconnect with my true self. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!❤
