Srsly? The dark is the worst part for you of this pile of garbage of a show? Not a problem with one whole episode with a Sheriff who just... Dies? Or a dull soldier with hours of screentime and still brings NOTHING to the story until meeting our British boy? Smh

@@Henrique.Souza0601 I agree with you, but I’m giving the show the benefit of the doubt, and waiting to see more of the story before deciding if that truly is crappy writing or not. The sheriff thing did bug me though. I don’t mind a slow burn story if the pay off is worth it.

@@Henrique.Souza0601 I absolutely understand. I enjoy slow burns and mysteries so I appreciate that so far the story is not super obvious as to what exactly is happening. Even if this makes some characters annoying (I hate Aneeshas son I want to throw him into the sun, and The Soldier dude is not memorable enough for me to remember his name) If they can come up with a creative and original story with the Ayyliens then I will be happy but if they’re giving us all this BS and it turns into some generic predictable plot I will be very upset.

i don't mind slow pace, but season 1 isn't just slow it's too slow and the payback is also underwhelming. and there's no actual alien invasion in season 1. in term of writing it's also terrible, season 1 feels like 2 or 3 episodes stretched into 10 episodes.

This is a perfect description of how I feel. While watching I felt myself critiquing it so much (mainly the acting). It seemed to jump from being a blockbuster A quality show to a B quality show and back again. So on and so forth. I really stuck with it because of the premise and I too have lots of questions.

The characters we all unlikable in my opinion. I finished up the season but really would not recommend it. Having said that, I will give season 2 a chance. Hopefully it will be improved. I really didn’t like season one of The Leftovers but the rest were fantastic!

Be sure the writers have the same questions as you do and no idea on how to answer them properly. This show is one of the most wasted potentials I've ever seen. It's awful.

Because it’s generic asf and dumb. All the kids survive falling from a bus over 100 feet in the air? Yeah you gotta be a dummy to enjoy this show.

Because half of it was absolute garbage IMO. The most interesting character is killed off right at the start. The whole saga with the kids was completely irrelevant heal dragging that didn't move the story forward a single bit. The part in the desert had huge potential and ended moving so slow with nothing happening that I was practically falling asleep. The only saving grace was the story line with the astronaut. The twist was pretty cool there. Also the scene with the family trying to evade the aliens was a nice change of pace but the entire show was mid at best. It's got HUGE potential so I'm glad they are renewing it but the first season was pretty bad.

Yep, it's major boring among other things! 🙄 The whole thing with Mitsuki Yamato constantly pining over her dead girlfriend during the entire season really seemed overly pushed. It got so annoying and useless that I fast-forwarded through most of her content.

If you thought this was slow and boring, you will not want to watch Echo 3. If you do, you can get by episodes 2 and 9 and save yourself many hours of your life.

I think it’s a typical streaming show: they have to stretch the story as much as possible. Or they were even allowed to take their time. Season 2 hopefully has more things happen….

It’s called invasion, but just like the characters, we don’t know exactly what they’re up against, until episode 6, which by the way gives aliens an entire episode, then the rest of the season has aliens every episode, so that’s just a stupid claim. We saw how these aliens could kill the military lol. And the thing wasn’t even cloth, it was obviously some sort of metal maybe from a ship or something. Also, they literally say that it feels too good to be true after the nuke, and if you actually watched, you will se that at the end it wasn’t it, the aliens were not done yet, that was the whole point of the cliffhanger lol. And I don’t know how you got Signs from the family storyline lol.

Why are you complaining about character development? That’s the best part of the show for me, but I guess everyone has their opinions. Btw I don’t think any character arc is uninteresting. We have a comma specialist in Japan who gets into her secret lover’s last moments to hear strange sounds that she learns move things with a certain amount of volume, then reaches out to make contact with this other life. We have a bus full of kids who crash and are stranded in a pit it’s a boy who draws a lot, who happens to draw the exact satellite image that caused their bus to crash when he didn’t even see it, he can see hat the aliens see when seizures are induced. We have a family with a wife that just found her husband cheating, which causes many complex interaction the rest of the season which even makes us feel bad when they cheating husband dies. This one wasn’t as interesting in my opinion, but had the family perspective for people to relate to or just to get a different perspective on this invasion. And then we have a soldier fighting for the army who is in a war against Afghanistan. He left his wife at home, and ends up seeing an alien aircraft in-person, and he end up trying to get home. Again, another story that isn’t as interesting, but another point of view on this invasion. Something that affects the whole world that we get to see from all different points of view, which is what makes this show amazing.
