Hi tisa loved your video I actually do the same thing when I invest in the stock market podcasts in the morning and internet are my besties for selecting stocks I use easy equities a lot it is my second year investing in the first few months I was all over the place buying all sorts of stocks and selling but I have finally found my rhythm I was thinking of buying into retail and other industries so this video really peaked my interest alot. Keep up the good work love your energy and insights ❤️❤️😁

Hey Tisa, our favourite Tsonga girl👋 As always thank you for yet another informative video. I did something similar and in Jan/Feb I topped up my portfolio by purchasing more stocks/ buying the dip. I am impressed w/ the Thungela growth in February- I need to get them after this video. I am going to read more about MassMart and Khumba as I’m under lockdown and have so much time on my hands and am reading a lot more now.

Thungela is still worth investing in. South Africa is faaaar from fully getting rid of coal. It’s been one of my best performing share by far. For those who don’t have an hour in the morning, there is an extract from the Money Show that focuses on personal finances podcast. Hey Tisa. I've been watching your vids and I know you invest a certain amount every month on easy equities. So my questions is at what point do you withdraw/sell and spend the profits of one of the companies you bought shares in? Do you have a target of how much you want to reach before you cash out???

That’s a very good question Ingrid, definitely something we should discuss more often, I have those companies that I just want to stay invested in for a long period of time ( years) and there are those that when I observe their movements on the stock market, I’ve come to decide that I’ll only hold for a certain time frame, and sell to get some profits and reinvest elsewhere, however, overall I’d consider myself a long term investor in companies that I believe I want to stay invested in for a longer period of time. Yes, a time will come where I’ll sell some of my shares in those companies but I can’t really say when.

Some companies pay out dividends once a year, twice it three times a year, it all depends on the company, you can check you notifications on your EasyEquities account to see which companies paid out a dividend and how much it was.

I’m not sure, interesting question. However at the end of the day we get the amount we were supposed to get post Dividend withholding tax.

So what happens when for example I invest R1000 in maybe sasol and the shares lose value until they are R0 does that mean I lose all my R1000 or ?

Not really, because that zero can change again the next day or hour etc. you only have truly made a profit of loss when you exit the investment and sell your shares. Thank you for your question I’ll touch on it more maybe in a live video on Instagram or short KZfaq videos 😊✨
