The song at the end is called 'Cold Wind'. It's by Arcade Fire and was written specifically for the show. Great song. Your face throughout the entire Brenda-Billy dream sequence was fucking priceless. I was half expecting you to use that scene in the outro, though. Claire's car being totalled is of course symbolic of the end of an era. That part of her life is now over. The next episode, i.e. the finale, is written and directed by the creator of the show, Alan Ball, who also wrote and directed the Pilot episode.

@@judeless77 I don't own a mobile phone, so I don't know what those emojis are supposed to mean. I'm sure one should be able to interpret them anyway, but unfortunately I'm not that smart.

Wow, we're almost at the Series finale! This journey went by so quickly! I'm both excited and sad that it's almost over I'll touch on a few scenes from the past few episodes and then this episode. The last 4 episodes are truly a whirlwind to end off this series. With Nate's unexpected death (which I didn't know that if someone wakes up while they're supposed to be in a coma means they might pass away shortly after, so thank you for that info, I'm learning something new.) A lot of foreshadowing for Nate's untimely demise. His death/dream sequence with David was really beautiful and Nate got his wish from what he said to David way back in Season 2 "I wish you could come with me." David was right there beside him when he transitioned to the other side I was flabbergasted when he died cause I couldn't believe that he was gone with still 3 episodes remaining. It made sense though for episode 10, the funeral for Nathaniel Jr, and gave time for both the Fisher family and the audience to grieve and get closure...eventually within the events of the finale. I definitely got choked up during that whole episode, same goes for the finale. This episode however truly represented the messy aftermath of Nate's death and how the family is coping (or rather not) with it. I love all the little scenes with each character reflecting on their stress and trauma through "Nate's spirit." The scene with Nate and Claire at his grave was special, I loved his explanation of the episode title and how life is just filled with this static. The moment with Ruth is heartwarming too. I wrote a novel (typical of me haha) but I'll be sure to be here for when you post the series finale and I'll try to catch the livestream! It should be so much fun! So hyped for your last SFU reaction! Keep being you, Mado! 💜

I had to pause watching when I saw your facial expression in the scene between Billy & Brenda. It disturbed me the first time I saw it as well. Incest freaks me out

I totally have no problem with Rico wanting to leave, but the attitude he gives David is pissing me off. Learn some compassion, dude!

Oh dang, you dropped this react while I was at work. Glad that it gave me something to do when I got home! This is a weird episode because in addition to seeing everyone's totally real depiction of dealing with such a traumatic loss (and how messy the death was) it's peppered with REALLY dark humor and REALLY cringe-worthy moments (Brenda's dream about Billy, specifically). David is just only barely getting over his abduction trauma, and then Nate's death just undid any progress he had made since last season. That's why he keeps freaking out. He's trying, and he has his moments of triumph, like when he finally confronts Rico about the idea of "family." I was proud of him in that moment, and really wanted to punch Rico in the face for what he said. @olegshevchenko5869 below said it best... have some damn compassion, man! @luizsanta-clara3003 also nailed it about Claire's car wreck being symbolic. Her life as she knew it just ended in an instant, and she knows it. Watching the dude non-nonchalantly kicking in the car's window drove it home for her, and I cry right along with her every time I watch this episode because every once in a while, you reach a point where you know your life is now on a new trajectory, and the previous part is over, and sometimes you cry tears of happiness, sometimes of agony, but when you know, you know. Also, her co-worker Kristin is just a total bitch (I don't throw that word around lightly). Brenda did the responsible thing by leaving Maya with Ruth while she sorted her shit out, and she has every right to reclaim her. I 100% understand Ruth's position, but I don't think she realizes just how much Bren has come to love Maya. George being the voice of reason is very telling. Ted. Ted's an ok dude. Claire was an ass to him, but.. well, you'll see. I don't really even want to address the Bren/Billy scene because I really think that that was a plot thread from previous seasons that we really didn't need to revisit. Ruth. I feel for her so badly in this episode, because she's spiraling out a little. She means well, but she's not making the best decisions at the moment. And finally, Maggie. When I first watched this episode, I thought the scene with her fighting with George was unnecessary, but after several rewatches, it does belong in this episode. She has enormous guilt, and she's taking it out on her father. Whether she's justified or not is up to the viewer. I really love the addition to the Main Theme this season, I do the same sway you do when I hear it! Whoo boyo... one episode left. I will be working during the live-stream, but I'll watch it afterward. Thanks for letting us join you on this journey. It's been very cathartic. Much love to you and yours. See ya in the next one. 🥲
