From an English perspective, it seemed that Ireland had politicians the people truly wanted, unlike here and across Europe, where all of them have minus ratings. Thank you Ireland for not beint the exception to the rule. The political class of each individual nation are the largest obstacle to real democratic governance. There is possibly a chain reaction coming in future elections, as the political class is tone deaf.

This is right across what was once Christian democracies. Our politicians want us at each others throats because the one thing they all fear is that we all stand together. The Irish English Scottish and Welsh all need to start standing together because all I've seen in over 60 years is certain leaders spewing hate and certain people gulping it down. We need the peace makers to stand up those that can unite us not divide us Because for to long in our history they have divided us along religious class which country you was born in even which town or city your from . Those days are gone for us but just watch those arise who will do there best to stir up hatred and try and distract us away from what's really going on. I am Irish. I was born in England to Irish parents. I know I am Irish because it runs in my vain's, I was brought up with Irish culture. Moved over to Ireland in 97. Sometimes I felt more Irish and proud of it than the locals, after trying to explain what would happen if Ireland let these "people" in. They didn't understand that it would change Ireland for ever, that they would lose what it is to be Irish.I had seen it happen in England, Everything given to outsiders and having to just except it. Local neighbourhoods turning into no go area's. I sew Irish people (spechally older people) welcoming these outsiders. Probably never having left their little village in Ireland ever.. not know what they were welcoming!.. Basically I felt that I was shouting in the wind and no one was hearing me. Please listen up and make Ireland for the Irish. There is a small window... but that window will soon be boarded up.
