I have really enjoyed the IronMaster Super Bench Pro after my first 30-day test. With some excellent surprise pros, it has really taken my home fitness equipment to the next level, without being too far out of the budget for most people. With version 2 launching, I may look into that as well, but it does cost a little more, but it does use my current attachments. Feel free to share your thoughts! Thank you for your reviews. Ive done a lot of research and your videos were the most helpful. Just dropped quite a lot of money (for me at least) on the super bench v2 with the leg extension attachment and the nuobells. Hopefully i can get the dip bar and pull up bar but they’re out of stock. Your home set up is definitely what Id like to mimic.

Nice! Let me know what you think of V2 and if you see anything different from this video with it. Also, let me know if you like the leg extension and if they work with Nuobells or not (not sure if the hole in the plates fits the extensions).

@@romellocarter3152 dumbbells won’t work with the leg extension and Nuobells’ plates don’t have 1” holes. but Ironmaster recently released “Dumbbell to Barbell Adapters” that allow you to use dumbbells on plate loaded pegs and barbell sleeves, so that could be an option to get your Nuobells to work with the attachment. Costs $179 though and I’d recommend getting collars for leg curls too. The attachment itself rocks though. Changed up my leg days when I got it.

Lower the bench before removing the pull up attachment and rest the pull up attachment on your shoulder to minimize it from flipping up. The same is true when inserting the pull up attachment
@GamerBody
@GamerBody Жыл бұрын
I used to do this, and actually had the same recommendation in my first video, but since then, I actually think it is easier (for me) to put it in while in the upright position. Depending on your ceiling height, you may not be able to do this, also if you are not tall/strong enough it may be challenging, but for me, I have found getting the bar into position far easier with the assistance of gravity. Feel free to put it in a horizontal position though, get it in place, and then raise up into the vertical position.

love fitness equipment from Ironmaster.. I've had a lot of Fitness equipment, but Ironmaster is the best. it would be nice if they made adjustable dumbbells like Nüobell
@GamerBody
@GamerBody Жыл бұрын
I agree. They have "adjustable dumbbells" but nothing beats the ease of use with the handle twist versions. Both Core Fitness and Nuobells are my go-to items just for that reason. The Core dumbbells have lasted over 5 years for me so that has been an excellent buy. I do like that the IronMaster can go higher, but all the plates and changing them are where I am not a fan.

My friend has one of these, he thought the pull up bar is too unstable so has asked me to tighten it somehow. However he said the same thing about the width and asked if I could cut the ends off since he doesn't use those. Of course I could but I told him how he could do it himself.

I see your wheels are on the opposite side compared to their site. Did you have to buy the optional wheels or is the bolt spacing the same on either end. I have a wall behind my weight rack so I would like the wheels to be on the pillar side like yours so I can move it in to position. Also how's the weight? My wife and I use an Amazon basics bench and it's super easy to move around. I wouldn't want her to struggle with the bench when I'm not around. Great review thank you.

In another video didn't you say you didn't like the fixed width of the dip bar? By the way what is the width of it and heights? I see dip stands like the Leberts you also have or V shaped dip bars as critical for some people. Parallel bars are great when the right size but a V shape accommodates many more people and the individual stands of course too... It's a problem at fitness parks too... V bars are unusual.
@GamerBody
@GamerBody Жыл бұрын
Yeah V bars won't be very common, but you can set it up with the Lebert Equalizers I have right now. The website has the listing as "Easy-to-grip handles have a 1.5" diameter and measure 23" wide."

I wonder if a person could cut several inches off each end of the bar (handles) without causing any structural integrity issues? It would make it easier to move around and store...and I never do pull ups THAT wide regardless. I mostly just use the neutral grip handles. 🤷‍♂

@@GamerBody I finally got around to shortening the handles. I took a ~ $25 pipe cutting tool, and it cut the ends off so smoothly that I was able to take the end caps off and put them in the "new" end. The paint under the foam got a little messed up, so I wrapped some Gorilla tape around it. It now weighs 27oz lighter, is easier to move around, and takes up less space. I tried posting a link to a pic, but ScrewTube deletes my comment entirely if I insert a link :(

Hey! Great great review. I actually found a way to raise the bench a bit pretty easily. I bought some stair treads from Home Depot (brand is Technoflex) for like 25 bucks which are just thick pieces of rubber to put on stairs to prevent slipping. They are practically exactly like stall mats but come much smaller and are easier to handle. I used them to create blocks for exercises where I want better grip for leg drive but I started putting them underneath the feet of the bench to raise it and it’s been great for incline exercises where I sit on the seat attachment that’s a bit too short normally, so my knees are no longer at an acute angle like you said. I think they’d be helpful for you too outside because they’d provide a better surface than carpet to do workouts on. For actually creating the blocks, they come in packs of 3 long pieces so I just cut each in half for 6 total pieces to make 2 blocks that are 1.75 inches thick. Not necessary but glued them together and drilled screws through them.
