If you want to enjoy fun black ice cream but don't want to poison yourself, I suggest making black sesame ice cream instead! It ends up a mild gray color and tastes very similar to peanut butter ice cream. Black sesame seeds can be found in a basic Asian grocery store, there's many recipes online and it won't make you throw up! Or you could also just dye it black. Or whatever.

Okay, I've scrolled a bit and I haven't seen anything about the milk so I have to say something. It is my hobby to read about diseases. Particularly older epidemics or ailments. The milk thing is a _very old_ "hack" that has most definitely _killed children._ Basically, if you put salt in milk, it stops it from smelling or tasting spoiled. Thus, it "keeps" for longer. People did it in times when milk was too expensive to throw away when they were starving. But it is *not* a preservative. The milk will still go bad, at the same rate of normal milk. So it'll fill with bacteria and spoil, but you will not be able to _tell._ And if you let it spoil too long and drink it it can make you incredibly sick. *Please do not do this!!*

Guess I'll be the one to say: activated charcoal is *not* an emetic. It absorbs toxins and carries them out of the stomach and through the bowel. Sensitive people can feel a little raw after using it, and it can cause diarrhoea, but throwing-up is not a side-effect of AC, it's a side-effect of the toxin. It's commonly used to treat food poisoning and over-dosing (forced fluids or stomach-pump in dire situations), but if the contamination/dosage is too much for the charcoal to handle, there's only one other direction for it to take. Up.

I think this is one of the most effective strategies to getting these types of videos removed. Both the content creators and KZfaq allow these videos because they get advertising dollars. There is an actual banana "hack" that actually works. Once your bananas get to the ripeness you prefer, put them in the fridge! They ripen much more slowly in the fridge, I have found that I can leave them in my fridge for a week and they're still fine to eat. The peel still turns brown no matter what but the part you eat doesn't continue ripening at the same speed as when it's at room temperature.

The hot glue one is damn right illegal to be advertising. I got some on my arm and had to tear my skin off as it had moulded to it, that was 10 years ago and I still have a defined scar from the incident, and this channel is advertising young people to brush their teeth with it. The producers should be sued and arrested.

Superficial burns are one thing, but I'm more concerned about kids eating bleachberries.
@---nobody---
@---nobody--- 5 жыл бұрын
TheLoneCabbage It could do a lot more than cause superficial burns. It could ruin their teeth permanently for one. It could also cause very deep and painful burns, as the skin in the mouth is very sensitive. The bleach berries one doesn’t worry me as much as that cause they would take one bite and immediately spit it out cause it tasted awful. With the hot glue one it could cause permanent damage before they could realize it was a bad choice.

I was about to comment that peppers actually are male with 3 lobes and female with 4 b/c I had heard this before, but then I thought "No, I will research this first." I'm proud of myself for doing that. Yes, it ought to be basic, but for whatever reason, it isn't, so I'm proud. Turns out, peppers, like most plants, have male and female (pollen and ovary) components. You learn something new every day!

@@JamesZeroSix That one is fine. And heck, teens drink more vodka per consumer than people in their 50s here. Older drinkers usually go for more complex, and bitter, flavor profiles. Not a lot of teens drink scotch, not a lot of pensioners drink vodka.

@@JamesZeroSix The reason for using vodka instead of water is to not gray out the chocolate. The reason for not using air is to have it 3D instead of 2D on a flat surface. And no one is telling children to use vodka at all. Teens tend to prefer vodka over let's say scotch for drinking, as is their right, but for craft purposes I guess they can use whatever they want and own.

Thank you for speaking out against activated charcoal in food. It is a trend now and it's actually really dangerous.

I have activated charcoal toothpaste, I had activated charcoal vegan chocolate cake once, it was really nice and I didnt feel sick afterwards, but thanks for the info 👍 I suppose if you have it too often it will have negative side effects (as with anything :P )
@ununhexium
@ununhexium 5 жыл бұрын
@@mariejuana2993 I'm glad you didn't have a negative reaction. Consuming it is not dangerous, it is a harmless ingredient by itself, and is used in hospitals to remove poisons. What is dangerous is that people who are on medications will have their medications work less strongly or not at all, and if you consume it regularly it will cause malnourishment because it absorbs the nutrients in your food. It really isn't a joke and people need to stop using it.

I was rewatching this vid during dinner, and i noticed in the footage for 5 Minute Craft's strawberries in vinegar "hack", the pack the strawberries are in magically changes from shot to shot. Even though its supposed to be the same one being dipped in and pulled it, in some shots its Gem Pack berries, and in others, its Drisscoll's

As a nurse let me tell y'all this: Activated charcoal is not to be used as food coloring. Side effects of ingesting activated charcoal include constipation and black stools( or Melena, meaning blood in your bowel movements which as you probably know is BAD) . More serious, but rare, side effects are a slowing or blockage of the intestinal tract, regurgitation into the lungs, and dehydration. AC is NOT to be used by anyone who has any kind of intestinal obstruction, especially reduced peristalsis.

I wouldn't call it a hack, but hot glue isn't THAT hot. In a pinch in MIGHT work, but I'd sooner improvise a tourniquet. Most bleeding will stop with strong uninterrupted pressure, push down HARD with something absorbent. After about ten minutes it shouldn't restart again. That doesn't mean wait ten minutes call for help, you'll know if you need it PDQ. Whoever made that up probably misunderstood the idea that liquid bandage is essentially sterile superglue.
