I honestly wouldn’t mind using gen 1 SE it’s a nice design, light and small easy to use and i think it’s cool to use old iphone devices

I lost my 12, and my daughter gave me her old SE. I replaced the battery and it’s great. It goes for almost 3 days without recharging. I especially like that it fits in my pocket. The only drawback is how small the keyboard is, even if the phone is turned sideways. So I dictate messages a lot more. If I knew it had been treated as well as this one, I’d get another rather than pay a crap lot for a new phone.

After using 3 androids I fell in love with iphones after this phone my family was in a difficult financial situation back then and they bought me this phone as a gift so i was very grateful with it i have so many good memories with this phone and overall it was a great phone after like 2 years i switched to an android again bcs higher specs and the price was a steal used that for another 2 years and now i switched to the Iphone 11 i absolutely love it

I'm still using it as my primary phone in Oct 2023. Got a replacement but I still using SE as my primary phone and put 13 Mini aside.

there’s something about the iPhones with buttons that I just love. they’re small, they’re lightweight, and they do simple tasks like calling/messaging, and searching the web. I would get an iPhone 2G, but i can’t really download any apps

I had this phone in a drawer. Powered up and it just updated! I was shocked. Like you said, who knows when OS16 comes out, but it still works and my 7th grader is thrilled with it.

I still use this phone as a back up phone. Most functions work fine on this phone, however though, with the keyboard taking up too much space in the small screen makes some tasks really hard to perform. I changed the keyboard and the default browser now that it works much better and having a fingerprint scanner is a big plus that my other iphone doesn't.

I just bought a new iPhone SE 2022 my dad used to use this phone and it worked perfectly. All it needs is a new battery and charger port and it’s good to go

It's totally worth it. But we iPhone SE (first gen) users can't upgrade. I am going to Apple for complaints!

I only use my SE as an iPod touch but it’s unlocked. This is what I did to save battery life… - Keep storage at 70% filled or less. Mine is 33% filled. - Use Brave Browser over Safari. - Don’t use widgets even in the Today View. - Keep at low power mode at all times (see battery yellow). - If you update the software, do a fresh restore. - Location services off at all times. My battery life has gotten better doing all those but it’s still not great. But it doesn’t drain chunks at a time. Instead of 4%, more like 2%. Standby time went back to normal after a fresh restore. My SE’s battery health went from 99% to 92% after 17 months but iOS15 really killed it. I only use it for KZfaq, light browsing, and screen recording nude scenes. Good phone. I like mixing and matching it with my foldable flip phones and Pixel 3 and Essential Phone which I’ve turned into my Dreamcast/PSP.

Love mine, but with only 16 gb, becoming less useful. Almost full just with ios loaded, not much room left for apps and photos. Time to upgrade to 2020 se I think

I have still this phone. It's nice and small but problem is with battery. I have left 90% capacity. it's not so bad. But sometimes is dropping from 100% to 96% so it's dropping 4% at the same time. sometimes 2% at the same time. Don't know maybe is problem that i updated it to 15.7.2.

I bought this phone new in 2016. In the days leading up to the last software update (15.7.2) the phone got buggy and had a spinning wheel next to the wifi symbol up top. The updated fixed it. However, the same thing is happening now but there is no update. It drains the battery. Also, be careful about dropping it. The glass on the back of mine is cracked. Since it's on the back, I didn't have to get it replaced- taped it up years ago. I don't use games. I don't want or need a big, expensive phone. I considered converting a phone to linux but there are no small phones to use with any of the distributions. (the other small phone I still use for youtube or whatever is the Galaxy Express but it has very little storage) Big Tech has us by the neck.

I lost my newest iphone and using my Iphone SE I updated my software to 15.7.5 and it works great. I am having trouble using the APP for a Dashcam I bought. So the THINKWARE app , is installed, but it leaves a message that freaks me out so I have not launched the THINKWARE APP. It says...If you launch this app Launch mobile APP will restrict recording and ADAS features Dash Cam settings. So I have to pull out the sd card and see all the recorded images on my computer. It would be nice to be able to use the app to see my car recording from my phone, while I am away from my car. Any info for me? Thanks

Okay iOS 16 won't run on the OG iPhone SE... so it will be a deal breaker for me in the near future. But then, it's still my favourite tiny phone, even the iPhone 12 mini or the iPhone SE 2020 & 2022 are still big ass phones compared to this tiny baby. In my opinion, it's still worth it for the next 6-7 months, or until the support for the latest version of popular apps will die off eventually.

The new phones are great, but they keep getting bigger and bigger. I liked my iPod touch 5th gen, crazy to think there was a time where iPhones only came in this size.

It's ok if you don't use the internet a lot. The screen is just too small to watch KZfaq or do anything on the Net. I use an iPhone X daily, so my 2016 SE is just tiny in comparison.

I mean if you don't really care about that home button you can go for an iphone 13 mini, they are quite cheap ( at least in my country i managed to find one for only 140$ ), they are also powerfull and they will still receive software updates for a few more years so you wont have to worry about that

got an iphone 5 that I have been using every day since i got it as my first smart phone i in 2014 for ~50$ 2nd hand. its finally to the point where just about nothing works to be functional anymore thanks to apple. I got a locked imei iphone 5s for ~5$ and a really beat up smashed screen SE for ~15$. swapped all the components and hopefully this new phone lasts me another 10 years... probably not lol
