Love your reaction! Dimash not only have trained his voice to achieve the range of insanely wide range (A1 to D8) D8 is one note beyond the highest key on the piano. He is so skilled that any of those notes he produces is pure, crystal clear and warm. Never brassy or hurts your ears. Dimash is God sent. ❤

Excellent reaction. Sometimes it's hard to digest Dimash, because he breaks paradigms and does things that experts say you can't mix, or you shouldn't do because it will go wrong. Dimash had those criticisms early in his career but he kept insisting because he believed in himself. You will never find another artist like Dimash, ´he was born to sing. His parents who are musicians and singers found out that he had "absolute pitch" at 5 years old and at that age he started training him. He is a multi-instrumentalist, and to this day he continues to train 3 hours a day. He likes to improve every day because he always says that the public must give their best. He sings all genres and every cover he has done as difficult as it may seem has improved the original version. this guy is a genius, he is on the next level of music. For me the best singer in history and he is only 27 years old. Greetings from Panama.

Yes! he´s out of the ordinary! Thank GOd for Dimash! We, "western" people are so use to the same kind of music, and ok, good singers, that at some point it gets boring, beacuse even if you have good singers, they always sing the same, I mean, they are not made for more, but then, if you look for something different and you open your mind, your soul and your heart you can feel this kind of magnificent TRUE ARTIST. Because that´s another thing, If you can´t feel it, you don´t feel, and that´s it. His DEARS, not only feel him, and his God gifted voice, but we are greatful that finally we can hear and be delighted with this master of singing, and besides that, his beautiful personality. And I think is not "dramatic" but EPIC!. 🙏🙏💕💕Thank you for your reaction. Greetins from México.

There is a train which Dimash has started and people who hear about him, because he is not going through the normal music process. They sort of start at the end point and work back wards. If you want too understand what he is doing vocally, listen to the vocal coaches, most who start with the education part then say. Man, I have no idea how he is doing this or that. People as you have done, just get stunned, they go quiet and just stare. We understand that stare. Your sort of jumping around Dimash's vocal range and expertise right now. Enjoy the Dimash journey, its such a pleasure to be living when this young man has come about. Very highly trained and educated in music...but still very humble. I find when I go back to listen to other singers. You appreciate exactly the level Dimash is performing at. Have fun. ps, so are you a Dear yet.....😂

Dimash is able to attract and retain super talented people to help him put on high-quality performances because he values them greatly, both as fellow artists and as friends. One of the arrangers for 'Stranger' is Erlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan). His friend since his teenage years, Erlan is a brilliant arranger and knows exactly what Dimash needs and wants. Erlan also arranged Hello, Adagio, The Show Must go on, All by Myself, Daididau, Daybreak, Unforgettable Day, Confessa & Diva Dance, etc. Dimash calls him brother and is close to the family. You often see video clips of Dimash playing with Erlan's young son.

Dimash still does regular underwater swimming to maintain that exhaustive breath. For a man to be able to sing in those high frequencies with such expertise and beautiful tones is not only unusual, but in my opinion sounds as good or better than females doing the same thing. Yes, I agree with the soprano part. Not just because it's rare but because of the quality. Dimash is 191 cm athletic man with huge lung capacity. So, the high notes he sings can be incredibly powerful. I don't think sopranos have that power with so much ease in those notes. And I love Dimash's tonal quality there. He has dark undertones, as he is a male (like choir boys, only that he's grown up). He is not shrill either.

Dimash had his first solo concert in New York at the Barclays Center 12/10/19. He was so happy because singing in America 🇺🇸 has been a dream of his since he was a little boy. He wrote the song Unforgettable Day when he was 18 and made sure he sang that song here in America. I was so happy for him. You will always hear him sing with emotion. He’s such a humble young man. You will never hear the vulgarity and half dressed women shaking their asses. That’s not who he is and I love it. I am 64 and can’t get enough of Dimash. He is the best and many can learn from him. I saw Igor Krutoy’s picture hung with other global artists on the wall at the Barclays Center. One of Dimash’s favorite Icons is an American, Michael Jackson, (I never particularly cared much for him but great for those who did). Those were Dimash’s words of his childhood dreams was of singing in New York City in America. Not something that I made up. I enjoy Dimash regardless to where he’s performing. Watch the YT video and you will hear the words from his mouth when he sang Unforgettable Day.

Greetings from Russia! You have excellent reactions to Dimash. Even though you are not a vocal coach, you say very interesting things! Thank you very much! I will be waiting for new reactions to Dimash, for example, to the song "War and Peace", the music for which Dimash wrote kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rtJkdrKFurCzZas.html . A very strong, powerful and emotional song! Beautiful music (I love rock!), very touching words (Dimash sings in Chinese, but there are English subtitles). I read somewhere that the first verse is soft because it sings about peace, the second, more powerful, about war. Dimash always performs songs with very deep lyrics. He always puts his soul and emotions into his songs, gives everything 200%. Now this song is especially relevant, because in Dimash's homeland, in Kazakhstan, there are unrest, people are dying, days of mourning.

But the "Chinese version" is fascinating too. Mostly for its vocals, I love those melismas. It's also quite dramatic as a performance. But not so complete as a whole than the first version.

Thanks for a great reaction. Dimash is always unbelievably amazing. “Stranger” was created by Russian songwriter Igor Krutoy, and the lyrics were written by American poetess Sharon Vaughn. The main arrangement was by Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan). Igor Krutoy said, “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” The solo instrument heard at the beginning is called a kobyz which is an ancient Kazakh instrument. The idea to add the kobyz to this song came to Dimash after he first heard the tune of “Stranger”. The singer realised that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exquisite sound. Dimash has always been anxious to popularise traditional Kazakh music. So, he really wanted the kobyz to be played on a big stage like Sochi’s New Wave Hall Dimash said, “We invited our talented friend Olzhas Qurmanbek to perform the kobyz in “Stranger”, because he is considered the best kobyz player, who managed to fully convey the emotions and character of the song. Thanks to him the song got its outstanding and unique sound. I’ve always dreamed of the kobyz to be heard in my foreign collabs.”

This is the bridge to Dimash, who tries to connect several kinds of genres and styles into a cross-over all around experience. Thank you for a great reaction and insights! 'Stranger' is an epic song and performance. What Dimash does, is often impressive or just unbelievable. However, his main goal is not to impress but to tell a story, show the message of the song. For that he uses the tools he finds suitable to the song. It has been told that before Dimash sings any song, he thoroughly thinks about its words and message, and only then starts to arrange it. Sometimes he chooses a very unorthodoxic way to convey the meanings, using his wide range - but usually saving the highest notes to the climax of the song. But, another time he doesn't use anything extreme, no high notes or any vocal acrobatics, if he feels the song doesn't need it. He has a lot of just beautiful, emotional songs which don't lose to those epic ones IMO. I think Dimash has always shown a great musicality with his arrangements, even as younger. In the Singer he was 22-23 and many of his performances there are masterpieces. His songs are often a mix of so many different styles that it shouldn't work. But somehow it does. Though many don't get his style, claiming he just wants to impress or show off. No. It's his unique style, his way to express himself. Dimash loves all kind of music from opera, Catholic choirs, Italian classics to hard rock, metal, Eminem, MJ and Freddie Mercury... (his words). And of course he cherishes his own musical inheritance, Kazakh folk songs and instruments. Dimash has said, he makes the music he himself (and his listeners) like. So, he makes it all and often mixes up everything. Dimash is totally free in music. He knows genres and conventions of course, but may pass them and find new ways to express what he has to say. Today, when he has matured as a person and artist, his mastery has become more refined and subtle. But, sometimes he still surprises. He is a multifaceted artist. I am often impressed by Dimash's singing too. But it's not the main thing nor his range or such. First of all he makes me feel incredible emotions, and that's what music is about. I love Dimash's expressive way to sing, how beautiful and emotional he sounds to me, his authenticity, and how meaningful his songs are. Dimash is an artist with a substance. I like also his versatility, keeps it fresh and interesting. It's so exciting to travel and find new lands with this musical explorer!

Dimash is simply THE best vocalist there has ever been. If you watch more songs you will see how versatile he is. Dimash can sing anyone else’s songs but nobody can sing one of dimashs songs. Mariah who? Dimash goes higher and lower than her, he’s famous for a massive and beautiful D8 note, 100%live in unforgettable day live at gakku, Dimash has a 7/8 octave range. Mariah can’t reach that note and she’s losing her voice and is no where near as good as she was

The stringed instrument in the introduction is called KOBYZ and is played by the Kazakh musician Olzhas Qurmenbek. This masterpiece was composed by Igor Krutoy and Sharon Vaghn, especially for Dimash.

Well Dimash is a Professionally trained Tenor with over 20 years of vocal experience, I mean it's not surprising. What does surprise me is *NOT* how he hit the F#5 at the end in Mixed Voice, but how he sustained the Vibrato through it. Hitting an F#5 is impressive on it's own, although it's do-able, sustaining a perfect Vibrato throughout a belt is hard. This just shows the level of Dedicated Mastery Dimash has.

Excellent, excellent comments!! I'm Joe, greetings from Chicago - instant like & sub! Absolute vocal tour de force, rather than world class it's "otherworld class" in Dimash's case! Maestro Igor Krutoy at the piano is a genius composer as well & Olzhas Qurmanbek is reputed to be the best Qobyz player in the world, the sound is so haunting. Then the choir & orchestra....I love symphonic metal; to me, merely adding heavier bass, guitar & drums would instantly make this song top notch metal - how about the weird odd meter groove before the middle section, going into the even 12/8 "military" groove...prog city! Great reaction/analysis!! I for one hope you'll do lots more Dimash!

There are certainly parallels, there's nothing that can't be improved by throwing in some double kicks! 😆😆 That's why this was a great choice for my channel because Dimash's vocals notwithstanding, the song itself is basically symphonic power metal!

Thanks a lot for your reaction. Regarding his ability to perfectly hit the notes and his incredible vocal ability, you should react to Sinful passion, the runs he does are out of this world (my favorite version is Moscow 2019). Or Know, to me his most powerful song (and my favorite one... version New Wave 2019, and then, the vocalise versions). I subscribe to your channel because I hope you will continue your Dimash's journey: his repertoire is full of other masterpieces.

I really liked your reaction. I hadn't yet seen anyone talk about the boldness it takes to close a song on such a high note, live, and have the self-confidence that will hold the note until the very end, arranging the end of the chorus and the backing band according to your final high note. I think that's one of the most inspiring things about Dimash: the daring to work to accomplish what many think is impossible. Hug from Brazil!

Maestro Igor Krutoy (here on piano) and Dimash Qudaibergen have created the really unique song in English with enchanting oriental melodies. “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky (interviewer), I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way”, - Krutoy said. (Dimashnews) Igor Krutoy, music titan in Russia (billionaire) and a famous composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018 and have a father-son relationship. And Dimash said also in an interview about th e collaboration with Igor Krutoy that it is important to him that the songs are written in such a way that there is room for variations ... so every performance of a song is a surprise and every Dear can choose his favorite presentation... I can not decide. The lyrics were written by Mary Sharon Vaughn (*1947, American musician, songwriter and producer. She writes hits for famous singers around the world) * other brilliant version - Stranger - Shine! Super Brothers 2021 (China) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qs6Smsth1q_Xk30.html

It is common for reactors to say Dimash is "an alien" a "creature from another planet". I understand they think it is a complement but it isn't...not really. I am paraphrasing, but Dimash himself credits his voice to his Creator but also to the teachers and mentors he has has. His music lessons were not a once a week thing, from the earliest age, he was immersed in music education-- voice (classical, jazz and popular) piano and other instruments, composition, performance. He continues to practice voice for 3 hrs a day and swims to build up his breathing capacity. He learned the mechanics of singing. In short, he educated himself on all elements of music. HE WORKED & WORKED to develop his God given talent.
@PrymalChaos

Yeah God given talents are very often more grind than divinity. It's kind of like calling a band an "overnight success" that had been playing shows and releasing albums for 10 years before they had that big breakthrough hit.
