Fitting Dual calipers was no easy task, time well spent and the mock up is complete, another job knocked off the list!!

You got to love it when you get new parts for your build and then cut them up and modify them…. Bet you sat there looking at those knuckles for hours before you welded and cut lol

Lmao that tends to happen alot lately 😅 sometimes i just cant avoid it and or help myself hahah. I looked at them for at least and hour b4 the drill came out 😂

Great job on blueprinting the knuckles. Never afraid to show mistakes. 👍👍 The material you made the hub-centric rings might be PE-UHMW.

Nice! Loving the vid once again. The miata has a wide range of rotors. The 90 to 93 had realy small rotors in the front and back. The brackets and pads are different to the 94+. The caliper is the same.

Hey Dude! Loving the content. One thing to think about before you use anything non Metallic in your brakes. Brakes get Hot!!!! Mayube even hot enoughgh to melt Whiite material you are thinking about using. Do yourself a favor and stick with steel. it needs to expand and contract at the same rate asd the disk or ir could crack. (ask me how I know) Maybe try to find a piece of pipe to make those consencentric ring out of instead. Love Project red, and really enjoy your approach to problem solving.. So far though I think Project Red is your best work!

I think i have some big aluminum bar stock I could make them out of, ill look into it but for now I actually use the little black plastic ones on my 06 mini and they been on there for years and never had any heating problems with them. Also most reputable companies will actually sell them in plastic mainly for street cars, and cars that commute in rain and snow and salt. But as a full racecar and racecar only i would not run them ever.

Put the bearing in the freezer for - few hours .then you probably wouldn’t need a press to get it In

You live and you learn. If I may ask, why didn't you fit 15 inch wheels? Would sort out the over revving issue you will face later. Did it on my Mini as I am running a Corolla 4AGE 20v motor in the back. The 15 inch minilite replicas look great.

Honestly i think a big wheel looks not very so good! In fact, id love to run 10’s haha 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️. As for the high revving, ill have to live with it unfortunately🤦🏻‍♂️. Unless i find another diff i could swap in a low 2.9-3.2 final drive gear ratio but unfortunately the audi diff has no small gear sets. Well atleast i couldn’t find any 😬😬😩

Nice job on the hubs, and you've reduced the unsprang weight, just like a proper race car..... When you got some proper heat in the brakes that bracket would have rubbed on the rotor.....You go there in the end.....Where's the finger pointer????

🙏🏻🙏🏻 Deff. I didn’t end up grinding the bracket however i did put the vw rotor in the lather and turned it down just a bit to give some decent clearance. I forgot if I mentioned that in the vid or not haha. I have misplaced my pointer finger 😖
