Flossing can be challenging for those of us with crowded mouth. It's not necessarily laziness or manual dexterity issues. These little brushes have been really helpful to me. I still use string floss (Glide) as well, but the brushes get my vote.

This is one of my issues as well! I have a tiny mouth, crowded teeth, overly fragile gums (due to a genetic condition), AND manual dexterity issues (also due to said condition). I used to feel so guilty and wonder why I just could not make myself floss. The more I’m learning the more I’m realizing not everyone has the same hurdles to flossing and it’s no wonder I always had trouble sticking with basic string floss (or even floss picks). Planning on finally investing in a waterpik since that seems to be the best solution for all my challenges, but I’d also never heard of these things before! I’m wondering if they still might be too harsh on my fragile gums but it is nice to know about other options!

I’ve been using the soft picks for about a month now and I love them. I am ashamed to admit that I only flossed like once a month (maybe) for most of the 27 years of my life. Mostly because my teeth are super crowded and it was almost impossible to get the floss in and around my teeth effectively because they were so tight (and some of them overlap each other and stick out at weird angles.) I got braces about 6 weeks ago and someone recommended the soft picks as an easier way to floss around braces... and now I floss every day. Sometimes twice a day. I’m never going back to regular floss!

Can’t believe I’m apparently 2 years late learning about these! Fairly recently started using these and amazed by how much better they work on my overcrowded teeth! As I am brand new to this channel i want to wholeheartedly thank you for creating these much needed and appreciated videos! Also want to share a mascara hack as the previous video I watched there was a makeup analogy. If you put a very small amount of mascara from the wand on to one of these (disposable sorry but it’s going near your eyes) brushes, roll or gently tap the product to create a thin even coat, and then brush it through your lashes it will give you the most beautiful natural looking clump free look you have ever achieved. Continue you to apply coats with very minimal product to build up to your preferences. No primer or lash curler necessary. Hope this helps.

Well i just put it into practice after being a non-flosser and a one-time-a day brusher for years. Just had my deep cleaning after I got my gum bleeding and my dentist recommended this interdental brush. My dentist prescribed me with 1.0 mm size only. I learned that not all gaps in my teeth fit the size. So i then bought those 0.7 and 0.8 mm ones. Not to mention I start to floss as well. It's so hard to get used to flossing at first but then I got better and better over time. Right now brushing, interdental brushing, tongue scraping, gum gentle massaging, flossing, and mouth washing (with something recommended by my dentist) is my daily job for my oral hygiene. All those bleeding are gone and my breath feels great. I'm also considering to get myself a water floss tool.

I already had a discussion with a dentist that told me he would never recommand flossing (...yah, I know lol). I have a lot of gaps - thanks to my past life when I was not a dental hygienist - so I decided I would do a whole month using ONLY interdental brushes. I wanted to see if I would bleed after a month without using any floss. I mean, the buccal/lingual sulcus is not cleaned with those brushes! Well I'm still wowed by it but I didn't bleed at all when I went back to regular flossing. It didn't convince me to stop recommanding to use the floss as both ways have their usefulness, but I was quite impressed. I personnally use both and I think it's the best way for me to take care of my mouth, but it is indeed a nice idea for patients who hate flossing!

I just found out about these from my periodontist. I had no idea that these things are. . . a thing. I went through a round of pretty deep cleaning and she suggested that I buy and use these in addition to flossing, so I hope that it works in keeping my gums healthy and not inflamed!

Your videos are a combination of inspiring and scary - which is what I need to stay motivated. I use the Dentek brand interdental brushes b/c the slimmer handle is less bulky to carry around in pockets and wallets - I need to have one with me at ALL times to clear out a few teeth where there is a bigger gap and food gets packed in after a meal and drives me crazy if I can't get it out. I also carry floss in my purse but the brush works way faster than a trip to the bathroom, and in desperation I can hide behind a napkin to use it on those 2 or 3 spots. However, I never thought of them as actually CLEANING the teeth, just removing food - and a proper brush and floss later to really clean. I might see if I could use the different sizes for cleaning as well.

I’ve seen these for years but didn’t actually know they were as effective as regular floss! I’m almost halfway through my first semester of dental hygiene school and we went through proper flossing technique and I definitely hadn’t been adapting properly or making a “c” around my teeth 😳 working on it haha! I’m gonna look into getting these 😁🦷

Thanks for sharing this! I second the suggestion for bending it at the rubber instead of the metal! Literally last night I was using one and it broke at the metal and got stuck in between my teeth and couldn’t get it out!!!!!!! and now realizing prob because I bent at wire. I had to use another one to try and get it out and tweezers. It took a bit to get it out. I would have panicked if I wasn’t in dental hygiene school thinking it was stuck in there!!
