🧗Originally from New Hampshire, In 2017 our youngest daughter asked us to take her on a vacation anywhere that had palm trees. Little did we know, that would start us down a path of travel. In 2022, After 28 years of marriage, Our kids, now grown, ventured out onto their own and left us with an “Empty Nest”. Seizing on an exploding real estate market, we sold EVERYTHING and hit the road in our brand new 2023 Grand Design 22MLE. Our videos serve as a diary and an open window to REAL RV life.

Back in 2016 my wife and I decided to take a six month leave of absence from work and loaded up our 5th wheel and left Raleigh, NC and headed to Alaska! It was the BEST years of our lives! Stayed gone for over three months and realized we could do this for as long as our health allowed. So now it's been six + years and we are starting to get rid of everything possible and set a date of April of 2024 as going full time!

Hy we are older than you guys, but yes our kids are 43 and 46 so gone for 20 plus yrs and there is a huge difference. 85 hundred snd now a month later 11.5 wow. Congratulations!❤❤

@@liferedesigned i can’t explain that. Lots of wide open spaces lead to higher speed limits, but honestly people are just crazy. It wasn’t always this way. You do have to keep your eyes open and drive defensively. Sorry.

We plan to downsize all winter and sell the house next summer. Everything you noted on your list here are the same things we have talked about over and over again. Especially freeing up from the stuff and short house cleaning time!! We can't wait!!

LOVE this video!! My two year plan is to have all my finances taken care of, be fully retired, and start out on my new life on the road, and this video just reinforced this desire in me!! I love to see new things, and the freedom to just pack up and go if the weather is nasty or things are happening that I'm not thrilled with or I'm bored with a place and just move on to something else just is so exciting to me. Thank you!! (By the way, I found your channel when looking for videos of the GD XKS 22MLE, because I had already decided that was the trailer I wanted to go with.)

Y'all are such an inspiration to all of us. Every video of yours that I watch makes me want to get on the road even quicker, unfortunately for us we need to plan for our journey, what we worry about the most is the cost, I haven't really sat down yet to crunch the numbers but I know life right now is very expensive and it's getting worse. . Enjoy your life and safe travels.

@@liferedesigned I wish I had people like you in my life. I've lived in my truck for 6 years now... since my Randy died of cancer, November 7 of 2018. We had homes, we lived on the road together working for many of the years we were together. Life is short. Enjoy your time together. Kept the sense of humor and live on. Glad you guys are loving RV life. We started about a year ago but we are not full-time and I have to say the thing I love the most so far is seeing all these new places that I probably never would’ve gotten two in the US and honestly meeting some pretty amazing people. There is a culture with RVing. Where are you meet a lot of really wonderful people and I have enjoyed that tremendously.

Glad I found you two. Great vids. A Mass-hole here. The wife and I sold it all almost 3 yrs ago and went F/T. Own the f-250 and 31' TT. We haven't looked back. We winter in Tucson and looking forward to seeing the pacific northwest next spring. Then back to N.E in 2025. Safe travels to you both. I'm going back to watching a few more of your vids

We’re looking forward to going wherever the wind blows. Well that and chase 70 lol Just complete freedom. The only date we’ll have to stick by? The date we have to re enter Canada in the spring lol Can’t stay more than 185 days We can’t wait!

When we started the full time adventure we were just blown away on how beautiful the USA is. Never actually seeing what was out there made us appreciate the life style even more. Thanks for another great video

Can't wait to go full time. Just to be able to go and do whatever, wherever we want, be in nature, sounds divine. So you guys have been at this spot for a few weeks. What made this spot worth staying so long?

Just our cycle. We typically book 6 months out. Mostly 2 weeks at each place but depends on what where we are. Texas being new to us, we wanted the extra time to explore - worst case we can always leave lol. Glad we booked as long as we did - great place!

Another great video! We've been on the road since 2012. In 2016 sold everything and are loving the full-time lifestyle. The pros sure do outweigh the cons! We have several campground memberships and in 2023 our average daily cost per night has been less than $9/night and that includes paying monthly rent in a campground for 4 months. walking 5 to 6 miles a day? WOW, that's a lot of steps.

On average 12-14k steps. We were doing 8 miles a day - really depends on where we are.

How do you get your laundry done? Do you scope out laundromats in your travels to get it done?

Most RV parks we stay at have really nice laundry rooms. If not, we find the fanciest laundromat in the area - they are some AMAZING ones on the road 🤣🤣

We are in the middle of selling everything too we just sold our dining room table yesterday have a few more things till we list the house and I heard you mentioned South Carolina that’s where we are from!! Congrats! Selling all the furniture was rough, we waited too long on that part - smart to do it ahead of listing! We actually picked up our rig in Myrtle Beach - one of our favorite places 😀

It was - honestly avoid that place like the plague! Everything they did from paperwork to PDI was done wrong. We even found out a month later that the person who installed our WDH had never done one before! The company is based out of Florida, when we asked for corporate contact info, the MB manager laughed and said good luck - he wasn’t joking - all calls and e-mails went unanswered. Took a social media post to get Grand Design involved etc - just a horrible experience.

That I really wouldn’t know. If you have a Bisch’s RV center nearby, we hear good things about them. Josh The RV nerd (KZfaq channel) works with them.

I am not sure why, but your stream is taking forever to load and keeps passing to buffer. I have watched many before and after this one but coming back to it, there is still some sort of issue.

Unfortunately that is a KZfaq issue. Channels have no control over connections as the videos are all uploaded to KZfaqs servers
