Жыл бұрынToday we take a look at Eurokey Recycling, Unit 1 Linthorpe Way Cransley Park, Kettering NN14 1EZ.
This place looked a little unusual. It turns out it has a commercially sensitive method of recycling.
The staff come out immediately and send the Operations Director out who then calls the police.
Before we leave we ring Eurokey HQ to find out if the police are on the way. The lady on the phone was brilliant and didn't see any problem with filming what you can see from a public place.

These need to have a daily or at least weekly Exterior Cleaning Blitz to keep on top of all the litter that will otherwise spoil a fine, modern industrial estate.

I watched a programme on the BBC today called Defenders UK "Enforcement officers investigate the death of a worker at one of the UK’s largest recycling plants. They seize more than 300 hours’ worth of CCTV footage that shows dangerous work practices and breaches of health and safety rules in the days running up to the tragedy." Doing more audits of these places might prevent someone loosing their lives in the future.

Well observed and noted. Many employers are getting away health and safety breaches by making employees work in below-standard working environments where their personal welfare and safety takes second precedence. Auditors will be doing these people a massive favor by uncovering bad practices in such places.

Read online the case were a building company got fined for workers in a JCB to install a date stone in the front of a house no safety gear just sat in the bucket £120k fine. The picture just showed what stupidity takes place and why people like DJ are making a difference

I would imagine that the lorry on the weighbridge was overweight and they took a couple of bales off to bring under the weight limit for going on the road. Just as you flew the drone away from the lorry, it looked like they started closing the trailer doors.

The police need to inform these companies that NO law has been broken and than there will be an surcharge of minumun of £1500 for calling the police they will think twice about calling them.

The young lady on the phone sounded so sweet DJ...get her mobile number and link up!!! Eurokey looks like a great firm thats doing a great job recycling. The staff on site wernt that bad, to be fair, its not everyday a member of the public comes by and shows an interest in thier company. I reckon the Two bales that were removed from the trailor was because it was slightly overweight ( Still being on the weighbridge) cause they were seen to close the back doors once they were off. Well done DJ.

I just find it incredulous that workers in these private companies think they have the right to leave their premises, go onto public land & start interrogating people. The police can't even do that unless they suspect you of committing a crime ffs.

I'd have told that manager person nothing. He can't just approach people in public and start interrogating them, you aren't his employee, his authority ends the moment he steps onto public land. His perceived authority over members of the public is astounding!

Probably removing product on the weighbridge because its overloaded or close too, so probably easier to keep it on the scales while the load or remove odd bales till limit is reached

The place is a state it's not tidy it's hazardous, there's plastic all over the place. The company has stuff to hide and they are not happy with DJ at all, and the MD is a rude arsed unhappy bugger. Yeah, I think a visit from the council or EPA should be done. The rubbish is getting underneath the fence and is all around the site, probably working it's way into the water system. Not a good look. Doesn't look like it's been cleaned in ages.

great video , that place is built on the old Charlie Perkins vehicle scrap yard , I remember going down there years ago pulling parts off the scrap cars to keep mine on the road , so that land was used for recycling before , how that for some history !
