They are just significant enough for people to feel right to follow their instructions, just like when you're fan of some musician and they start branding a drink. I feel people should start looking into themselves, because it's not even like these politicians are responsible for even 50% crimes that are registered against women over India, just they are significant or "big enough" for common people or news channels to talk about or maybe people feel that they are powerful enough to make a change, but let's be real, when we can be the change, why wait for them to "save us"?

I am from Bengal. The stories of sandeshkhali are true. The husbands of the women have fled to other areas. Some of them are missing till now. Illigal land occupancy is not only a sondeshkhali issue . My family faced it in 2015 near Kolkata. That was a systematic corruption. They deleted official records. Govt officers were involved. Bengal is not only suffering it is literally burning.

I am from Basirhat constituency and follow Deskbhakt for many years. When I saw first episode on Sandeshkhali where socalled "abused" women giving their bytes to National Channels in Hindi with veils, I had strong doubts because their accent were more similar to Kolkata and surrounding places instead of North 24 Parganas (district name of Sandeshkhali). Now if anyone has doubt, just listen Hindi bytes of Rekha Patra, BJP candidate of Basirhat, from Sandeshkhali. And then compare with those women's byte in Hindi to national channels during agitation. You can easily differentiate two accent.
