What I like about Indigo park is that it comes across as an endearing passion project not trying to capitalise on mascot horror money.

Regarding Rambley being a twist villain, UniqueGeese has stated in a livestream that Rambley is NOT evil. Though given that he just wants the best for the park, for his friends, and to have a friend, I think he'll be more of "The road to hell is paved with good intentions", given that it was shown that in his perspective, him decapitating Mollie is actually him saving her, and that the end credits song shows that he truly wants the protagonist to stay as much as possible. He won't actively do villainous things, but he might unknowingly start doing it thinking it's the right thing to do

The way that Rambley talks about the mascots in the security room seems to imply they only became this murderous after the park closed down, tho, the voices Mollie mimics show that they were mistreated which could cause them to go on a rampage. The way Salem was portraid in the arcade game gave me the vibe that she was acting as a representation of whatever caused the mascots to become the way they are rather then saying that she was the one doing it.

salem being named salem is definitely part of the story. im not sure if theyre a scapegoat, or if theyre actually the culprit. Its just too convenient. more evidence will prove their case. rambley is not going to be an outward antagonist, but i can see him killing molly coming back to hurt us in a later chapter, and maybe other things in later chapters. i think someone is already in rambley's systems, and when he glitches out, its the main antagonist looking to see what we're up to. as for lloyd, he's afraid, but im wondering if he was trying to warn us of something, but the critter cuff chased him away.

I think making Rambley a twist villain would just be playing into a tired and overdone trope of "cute helpful character was actually evil and sadistic all along". That's not to say he can't have ulterior motives, just that having him be "evil" is the opposite of subverting expectations.

I wonder if Chapter 2 will include a bunch of swimming for exploration, finding keys, secrets, and puzzles. All while having to avoid Finley in the water.

The most likely scenario is that the Rambley seen in this chapter is going to remain good. More than likely there is going to be mascot versions of all the characters. Rambley already mentioned he had been stuck at the gate since the parks closure. So maybe we'll get a section where we have to free Rambley from someone or thing that is messing with park. Also as others have mentioned, Rambley is going to stay good. Maybe he was going to him evil, But with people's love for Rambley. He'll probably change it so he stays good.

I feel Salem's name could be more connected than we think. We see in the video game him using some sort of mind control poison that makes the others go berserk. A common theory for why the Salem witch trials occurred was possibly due to people reporting hallucinations of spirits and witchcraft, which could have been caused by the ingestion of bread tainted by ergot, a hallucinatory fungus that can grow on wheat. Now whether this theory is true or not is a whole other topic, but regardless there's some obvious parallels to what Salem does in game. This might just be a simple inspiration for the character's namesake but who knows, maybe it could point to some further explanations on the nature of this poison in the future?

I always thought Salem's name was just a reference to their potions. You know, since witches are famous for making potions? Also, I'm realizing as I type this, the potions are probably a reference to skunk spray, since they tend to throw their potions in a cloud of mist

I doubt the Rambley AI will be the villain. 1. It would be too predictable. I'm almost certain it won't happen for that reason alone. 2. Who wouldn't be desperate to make a friend after 8 years of Isolation? However, that doesn't mean that Rambley can't technically be the villain. Perhaps Salem is a red-herring villain and the real main antagonist is an organic Rambley that is completely separate from his AI counterpart.

Great video! A few things I'd like to point out: Mollie being "mom's favorite" could be a mislead...especially if Ed and Laura are siblings. It'd make a lot of sense for them to be family given that they went to the park together as kids...would be a fun twist for Laura to be the protagonist after all. And if she is, honestly, that makes it all the more fun how incredibly BUILT our protagonist is. Also, I don't think the Critter Cuff alone is necessarily what got rid of Lloyd. It DID happen specifically when you were scanning a button, and there are no buttons in Mollie's chase sequence, so...that could explain why it happened in one case but not the other. Could also make for a cool future mechanic, as hinted at by UniqueGeese; the closest thing to a "gimmick" this game has seems to be the Critter Cuff, which will come into play more in future chapters. One weird thing about Salem is, uh...there are no plushies of them, no signage apart from the broken cutout, no mention by Rambley...except there ARE keychains of them in the Critter Corner. And yet, no keychains of Rambley. I genuinely have no idea what the significance of this could be, other than...maybe the keychains being made before Rambley became the mascot? Anyway, one last tidbit I want to bring up: Lloyd's voice actor is RecD...same as Isaac Indigo. By the way, I like the Undertale music :]

I think Rambley is trustworthy albeit with a limited and faulty AI, but I think there is a chance Salem will turn him against ED.

UniqueGeese said the game has lore, so we have to take everything we're given into account, right? Everything we're shown, everything we're told, and context. For instance, what's with the Critter Cuff beeping and getting Lloyd off our back? I think Rambley saved us, since Ed didn't do anything in the moment, and it didn't just happen on it's own. So that got me thinking: "What in the chapter explains this?". First off: the Rambley AI sees through the cameras, and probably can't just see through the screens. It felt important at the beginning, when he "gets a good look at you": the monitor's camera turns on, also all the cameras follow you despite there being no one left and they're usually near a screen. Second: Critter Cuff functions. Rambley said that it works as a pedometer, heart monitor, and mood ring. Now, it would make sense if this data goes to Rambley, given that he controls almost everything else. So, think about it like this; the cuff is probably tracked. It would make sense for a theme park to track guests while they're in the park, and if it's tracked then that explains how Rambley knows where you are, even when there's no cams(Namely the hallway full of TVs before the train ride). SO(finally), you go into the backstage where Lloyd is, Rambley knows what's back there, and that it's dangerous, *and* warns you to be careful because your cuff can't resuscitate you(yet, possible life system later on?). Rambley can't see backstage because no cams, but he'd know you were stopped at the exit and the main character's heart rate was probably through the roof, so it's safe for him to assume you were being attacked and play the beeping through the cuff to disorient Lloyd, like a dog whistle. See what I mean? Even something as odd as that was just explained with a few lines of dialogue and some context... in a multi paragraph long theory, sorry about the length, this was as short as I could make it.

Personally I trust Rambley to try and keep us happy and ... alive probably until we can allow him to run the repair tasks on the park. I feel like eventually we will discover something that's going to make us want to nope out of fixing the park and Rambley and us are going to have a bit of an argument. He can't upset us I don't think. He needs happy feedback to exist, which I think means he has base code that gets trained and active instances that run. If we get too upset I think he can get deleted and replaced with a new iteration of him, one that's been trained on his data and will be "better suited" to ensuring our happiness. I don't think he wants that to happen.

But, then, if Salem is like the other mascots, does that mean that she can actually spray you like a real skunk can? Is there something powerful about Salem's spray that causes havoc?

I think it's confirmed Rambley won't be an antagonist character. I can see maybe he gets hacked by Salem and she tries to make him go rogue, but I think he'll break free from her.

Considering how much this game wears its Disney Animation love and inspiration on its sleeve and how negatively UniquiueGeese as reacted towards RAMBLY A SECRET ANTAGONIST theories, I'm gonna bet the big villain of this story isn't even The Mascots nor Salem. Its probably just a Bob Iger/Chapek like CEO finding a way to abandon the park as a tax write off. Seeing as Indigo Park is DisneyLand in this world, with the bronze statue that stares at you and everything; imagine a corporation the size of Disney ever abandoning Disney Land. There have been deaths and murders, there have been rides left to rot for years. Disney Faithful willingly going to the park during the height of the Pandemic and telling the media "If I die, I die". Not even the Apocalypse would make Disney stop trying to turn a profit with the Magic Kingdom. And yet all of Indigo Park has been abandoned for 8 years despite having an extremely advanced AI and whatever Bio Technology made the Mascots, to seemingly create a fully automated amusement park that could generate billions in revenue. All very expensive things, on top of the park real estate, to just walk away from without attempting to contain or sell these things off to someone else. Why would a company do that if not to walk away with the most money, and maybe to focus on what was Disney's Future around 2015? Super Heroes and Star Wars. Yes, this is much more out there than just looking at a arcade machine and thinking there's a secret villain twist, but I want Indigo Park to be a bit different like My Friendly Neighborhood.

I don't think Lloyd was evil. I think he was trying to prevent the player from getting the key to Jetstream Junction. He knew Mollie had become hostile. I think we do play as Ed due to Rambley calling the protag buddy.

Honestly i like the idea of having an actual ally in rambly.No other mascot horror game has this and it givea a nice spin.
