actually from what i do know, sethos can move while his charge attack is charging up but he cannot move once the level 2 charge is achieved

Honestly with Sethos and Clorinde being pretty tame compared to Gaming and Arle, I'm definitely thinking aboug them moving towards the lvl 100 for character as it would help out these Electro units far more than Pyro units

@@Cafinebiasedatm its only a basic stats bump and probably would keep being that because hoyo is not known to directly buff pervious characters kits in any of their games + characters with crit stats ascension bonuses would be completely broken if they added a new one for 90/100 for example

While we probably need to wait for the official release (so that players can actually test him live and not just theory craft) I do believe that Sethos will be the 2nd best 4* main DPS. He seems to slot in between Gaming and Noelle. Unlike Noelle and Gaming (to a lesser extent), Sethos is much less dependent on constellations. I do think there will be situations in which his aim shot playstyle will be useful. However, since it's more constellation dependent and had much higher downtime I do agree that the normal attack style with the burst will be easier to use.

okay but hes so unique, we already have a ton of amazing electro supports, he has the first piercing bow attacks that can proc hyperbloom, has a high skill cap, and he is pretty

@@lilbop4942A 4 star dps won’t be competitive no matter how unique they are. Sure, we have electro supports, but they’re all girls and none of them are from Sumeru. As someone who prefers using male characters and only likes using Sumeru and Fontaine characters, him being on-field was a huge disappointment to me.

@@lilbop4942still upsetting bc throughout fontaine patch, every male character is an onfield unit, they didnt even let 4 star males escape this curse (Freminet, Gaming and now Sethos). And not only that, the only 3 ELECTRO male chars are all pure onfield units too

Don't forget the new gamemode as well. It doesn't seem to care about the amount of time you take for clearing a floor, so building 4-star DPS characters for it would be pretty fun

Since his special CAs and Burst NAs hit multiple enemies along it's path, and he can have such a high EM, I wanna try him on a Quickbloom playstyle more than a pure quicken one. We'll have less wasted dendro cores while he's shooting, compared to some other electro triggers.

I think Sethos' charge attack playstyle could work with Alhaitham Quicken. Alhaitham has 12s up-time with 3 mirrors but an 18s cooldown on his skill and burst. This means that in Alhaitham's downtime you can use your two supports (1 dendro and 1 electro) as well as Sethos' charged attacks before switching back to Alhaitham and starting a new rotation. Both Alhaitham and Sethos scale will EM and both need a lot of energy.

I pulled Kirara on her initial banner but couldn't really find a place for her in any of my teams. Now it's her time to shine 👍Also, I didn't expect Slingshot to be so high in the weapon tier list. This weapon is good on Tignari, Yelan and now Sethos, nice to have decent f2p friendly options

Well, we need to know if his burst buffed Normal Attacks will do area electro damage in the path of his arrows, to know if he will activate well the hyperblooms - which i think he will. He seems to me a hibrid aggravate and hyperbloom dps in that case, probably he will work well with Furina Nahida and Baizhu if the energy recharge substatus is great.

I love him!!! As someone who Max ascended GaMing and crowned his skill you bet imma be using Sethos as well! Still wish he was a cyno support tho ngl… it would have been so lore accurate. Why is it that Genshin never makes lore accurate duos??? HSR does it a lot sooo why not genshin???

Agreed with not enough lore accurate duos in genshin, but Sethos being fellow electro dps as Cyno does much more sence. Cyno has both Nahida and DMC as his lore/gameplay support

@@sutkonos neuvi and furina realistically can’t take full advantage of each other until c1, Raiden is just a bad dps at c0 even with c6 Sara. She much better driver for national. And Eula and Mika don’t even work well together. Opportunity cost is too much.

I think that Sethos is a trial character by Hoyo trying to introduce dual play style for a single character. Not the first since Furina already preceded him. But I think Hoyo try to push these kinds of play style, especially if what we heard about Pyro Archon is true.

You need to position yourself properly before initiating charged atk. as it can pierce through enemies who are in his line of sight. Completely different experience if you play tighnari

I’m seeing a new trend with Chlorine and Seth. Perhaps a renewed play style of dual DPS team. Heard somewhere that Chlorine’s cd is awkward too, so another short on fielder can fill that gap. Dunno yet but that would be interesting.

Hello TGS.. I really like your content and wonder if you're going to cover new games being released like Wuthering Waves. That game's combat system looks more complex compared to Genshin, and I think we could really use some theory crafting there lol.. I play this game for exploring and getting new characters to build. I skipped very few characters... But I hate when they drop really cool designs characters and they are basically usseles in terms of how smooth or decently strong they are. Like the crimes comited against Candace or Kaveh or even Freminet. Why can they all be as good as Liyues one? Like Yao Yao and Gaming (absolutely love to play him)...?

So now that Sethos is actually out, in practice I find his NA spam style to be easier to use, mostly bc the energy requirements and rotations are far easier to manage. It’s also less punishing than firing off 3 CAs and risking missing. The CA playstyle also has a weird issue where the uptime is significantly shorter than the rotation timer, but the NA playstyle is a little more balanced (still a pretty short dps window though unfortunately). Personally, that's my biggest gripe with Sethos from a gameplay comfort perspective. If his DPS window was a little longer, he'd be a solid unit with no major complaints. He's not tier 0, but not weak either, and he's fun to play. To anyone who has him and is considering building him, do so if you like his playstyle.

needed exp for every artifact is the same . but there is a chance u get x2 or very rarely x5 exp while feeding them in . u probably didn't notice visual effect (it pops up on top of artifact image)

It's kit is seriously split and weird, feels like it's anti-synergistic with itself. Maybe he will be well complimented by future units, sorta like Navia teams could improve if they added a 2nd short field time flexible character for a duo DPS team.

Doing napkin math for this so this is probably wildly inaccurate but mainly doing it for fun: Best comparison to one shown on the graph is probably aqua cus both are cdmg bows. If ignoring the base atk stats cus hes a EM scaler, aqua gives 22% more cdmg compared to magic. As for passives, aqua gives a 20% dmg bonus compared to magic 16% CA only bonus. While magic can give 16% bonus atk for him too cus hes probably gonna be running with fischl anyways, thats feels too low to include for a mainly em scaler. Crunching these numbers i believe its around ~85% for CA compared to hunter path.

Sethos's kit feels creative enough in a time where the characters are suffering a bit of a creative drought where the kits aren't doing anything innovative and too different. Supports are doing fine in that regard, but there was barely any support released in Fontaine and the other characters feel like they do the same thing other characters did, but somewhat different/better.

they really should release characters that buff or somehow make underused reactions better. Not something like Chevreuse that only buffs characters themselves after using the reaction and not the reaction itself. I wanna see a character that buffs electro charged, burning, etc, or has a unique effect to themselves applied to the reaction. I hope Natlan releases characters like that. The game's combat shines with elemental reactions.
