Best looking Chevrolet traverse ever Joe

Chevrolet has been impressive as of late. Hard to not be attracted to these. Just follow your maintenance schedule and don't abuse the drivetrain. Will be a solid form of transportation. ☮️💙

The key with the Chevy brand, JMO, is to offer enjoyable quality that's affordable for us middle class folks (esp in today's economy). It's always been this way with Chevy. As long as Chevy doesn't price itself out of the market, it will compete well. GM should be proud of its work on the Traverse, btw.

Joe I think the telescoping was automatic not manual. Maybe I'm wrong. But this thing is beautiful and beats the telluride by a long shot! Keep up the good work 💪

Would be nice to have a full bench but that's a personal preference. The design looks really good, it has some power, I'd give it a chance.

Awesome car, but 57K is pretty steep...Since you get the same engine, i'd personally opt for the awd LT without Supercruise and save 14k. I think 45k is more in line with a sensible cost.

I would use super cruise as you did, Joe, to keep driving as I adjusted my music or AC settings. It would also give my body a little chance to stretch/relax since I have RA. It's like an extension of cruise control. GM has done impressive work here!

Joe, I do love the Chevy Traverse & I dig the fake vents on the corners I just feel like who wants to see a boring radiant red painted red painted corner of the bumper? I do love the way Chevy did a dandy of a job.

I absolutely love this red on Chevy vehicles. It really pops in the sunlight and fits the overall shape of the Traverse to a T. 9:24 It honestly doesn't bother me that the exhausts are on one side of the Kia Telluride. It gives it more of a rugged appearance in the rear by having them do it this way. Plus, I think the reason why they have the exhausts only on the right side is so that the heat can't enter the passenger cabin. I also think it's a cool Korean design feature to have the exhaust pipes on the right side.

Been looking forward to this one. Great review. Chevy did exactly what they needed to, design it to look like a mini Tahoe.

Joe, as always, an amazing and helpful review, thank you! What I don't get is you always Zonking an exposed rear wiper. What's wrong with that? I've been waiting for the new Traverse since the end of last year while owning 2019 model, which I loved! Gave up waiting, bought 24 Nissan Pathfinder SL Premium Package. Absolutely love it, can't wait to get up in the morning and drive to work. Still miss my Traverse only because of its larger interior room and a smoother ride...

Joe, as a Chevy fan boy, the 2024 Traverse in my opinion is class leading inside and out and would be a grand slam if it had a hybrid option. With the new 2025 Equinox getting most likely a PHEV option I hope the 2.5 Turbo in the Traverse also gets the PHEV engine option. Joe and Lori, once again a great review!

HUGE improvement, Chevy (and about time)! I like it all except the 'reverse-shark fin' towards the back of the vehicle (but I'm sure I'd get used to it eventually). I would imagine that, with the enormous room inside on this one, not to mention the increased MPG (and lower price), it will be more likely to cannibalize sales from Chevy's own Tahoe as opposed to either the Telluride/ Palisade. Thanks for the look, Joe! You're #1 in my book!

Overall I like the Traverse better than the Telluride but I like the exterior styling on the Telluride more. Great review Joe!

Does the RS trim have a HUD feature? If so, is it for basic use? Is it optional?

I'm still waiting to see a review on Super Cruise in very adverse situations such as panic breaking,or someone switching over in your lane unexpectedly,a pedestrian running out in the street,an object in the middle of the road,potholes etc . Just to see how it behaves & avoids a potential accident.

The Z71 version is my second pick to a Pilot Trailsport in Diffuse Blue Sky Pearl. Why second? Because the Travserse is a brand new design with a totally new engine and transmission, both know to have weaknesses in the past. Can you compare the two cars?

I like the Chevy, but one of the issues I have is that it only offers leather in the top trim, RS. I do not care about rims or super cruise. The Kia SX with leather and the features we are looking for is available at $47k-49k. I believe my wife would have been ok with the Chevy LT but no leather is a deal breaker. If I could wait 1 year maybe the RS with incentives would make the cut but we need our car today. Good job.

This Chevy Traverse is an awesome SUV, good sporty looks outside and inside and lots of room, totally agree the red door trims and stitching looks really nice. The size is smaller than a Chevy Suburban but it still has a lot of interior room so it has the room to be a family hauler on trips and you get some bang for the buck with the under $60k price tag. Should have maybe been made as a Hybrid with the electric motor to add HP and Torque instead of having a Turbocharger.

By chance, did you happen to go on throttle? If so, how was it? Was the engine sound natural or simulated, and was it a balanced sound for a 4-cylinder?

I have to say as a BMW owner I’m very impressed how good the new Chevy cars SUVs look. Also the super cruise is fantastic. Way better than Tesla! The build quality is definitely very good.

Joe, it looks like the steering wheel is power tilt and telescope. I really like this redesign. I would wait a model year or two to buy. My daughter had a first year 2021 Trailblazer and the transmission crapped out at 30k miles. 😢

To me the big game changer is supercruise. It's such a great feature for traffic in the city and towing and long distance driving. My next car will definitely have super cruise, I think that new Buick Enclave is calling me due to the nicer interior and those amazing sounding massage seats!!

love this car, just 1 tiny question, why they cut the heated seat buttons? have to go all the way up to press that small tiny heated seat icon in the screen? considering they have already reserve segment for buttons and knobs(real buttons and knobs are a necessity to me as well),in addition GM's super cruising is amazing, and that "drug" handing out thing is normal today just hilarious 😂 very nice review!

Hey joe what'sapp this Chevrolet Traverese this is Awesome suv and today my 26th birthday

I wanted to take a look at the z71 traverse, but they released them to late. I ended up getting a 4Runner. Still a really sharp redesign. They should of went the acura route and went six cylinder turbo.

Sporty looking! Love it. As a lease manager all makes- the Palisades start to squeak and rattle too early- 3 years 25000 miles they sound like a Dodge Journey with 100,000 miles. I have clients that insisted on them because of reviews and interior styling for in town use and they are getting rid of them 2 years early.

Joe, I remember a lot of notable redesigns in 2018, the Traverse being one of them. They really got my attention. 2022 refresh, they lost me a bit. But with the 2024 redesign, they have my attention once again. 👌

Make the wheel arches body colored and I’d consider it. Quality might be an issue.

Beautiful ride!!! I got my wife a CX90 and although I LOVE the engine and performance, the comfort just isn’t there. I’m waiting to trade in the Mazda for either this traverse or the new Tahoe. Only thing I don’t like about fords explorer and expedition is the interior system and how they got rid of AC nobs. But performance wise fords ecoboost is hands down better than Chevy. I just love the style that Chevrolet has gone with and I currently own a Silverado with 2.7 turbo and at 14k miles it has been a great drive.

how does this stack up against the toyota grand highlander?

If there is one thing we all know about Raiti, it's that he does not like exposed rear wipers.

Love it! I’ve been driving silverados for my last 3 vehicles. Planning on going the SUV route for my next vehicle. Tahoe is just a little out of my price range and I’m tired of getting 16 mpg all of the time. The only thing I wish they would have done I’d make the Z71 available with ALL of the features I could get with the RS version and maybe possibly used the 2.7 turbo max engine from the Silverado instead of this 2.5 version of the same engine with considerably less torque. Overall, very impressed with what they have done. Now the only question is go with Chevy model. GMC model or the new Buick Enclave all of the same platform. Still waiting for Cadillac to update the XT6 as well

Great look. 4 cyl in this size of vehicle is a massive mistake. I have an ‘18 with the 6 and after 120k miles…no issues.

Safety tip - I’m not sure SuperCruise is the best idea on 2 lane roads. Space in these must be class leading, maybe approaching the Tahoe in terms of 3rd row and cargo area. Looking forward to your on trail test of the Z71 version, as well as Acadia AT4.

There's no doubt that it looks nice and has all the family-friendly features properly done for a family SUV. The big question is if it's going to be reliable or if it will end up being one problem after another. I looked into the Traverse owner groups as I have with most family SUVs because we are in beginning stages of shopping and what I found is there is an overwhelming amount of people having problem after problem thinking they've made the worst decision in their life buying a Traverse. The Honda Pilot and Lexus TX owners groups have significantly less problem posts... I understand all new cars at some point we'll end up having something adjusted or fixed under warranty but it becomes very concerning when a vehicle is spending more time with the service Department than the consumer has driving it

Where does the ambient lighting emit from?

I love everything about this new car. I'm comparing this to a new ST. If this had a twin T v6 at 400hp+ my mind would be made up. I just want to know is these 4cyl turbos are worth it or not.

I am 6 feet tall, 165 lb 33 year old man. I sat in the second row and adjusted it to my height then sat in the 3rd row and had more than enough room.

Love the new design! However not sure about the price. It's alot more then my 2023 RS, but I wouldn't really say it has much more to offer.... other then design. Also, can you tell it's a 4cyl when driving? How does it compare to the old v6 when you are actually driving? (Not just on paper)

The RS has me thinking about trading in my Highlander. My Toyota's as expected have been nothing but rock-solid. I have this fear the minute I sell it, I will immediately regret and be dealing with typical GM issues. The Buick Enclave is same platform but has good reliability, I'll test drive both but actually love the RS styling even more. I don't like the Grand Highlander, but would consider the Palisade and Telluride.
