Hmm I'd say that that verse is more so emphasizing that men are to preach the homily during the Communion Mass. Women naturally are more humble and would make great preachers, but Jesus chose 12 men, so that's why there's a male priesthood. Men need to learn how to serve and preach about God.

I understand the Bible through the lens that it was written. Otherwise quotations can be interpreted in ways the Bible was never intended. I certainly do not think that St. Paul meant that Scripture verse to mean that woman cannot utter a word when walking into Church. It wouldn't square with his other statements, such as when Paul said that men need to sacrifice themselves to the point of death for women in Ephesians 5. Scripture can easily be misinterpreted. For example, I could say to my friend "I never said you stole money.". That phrase, if wrenched from context, could be interpreted as "I never said YOU stole money, rather it was your son" or "I never SAID you stole money, rather you implied it" Or "I never said you STOLE money, rather you borrowed it.". I read the Bible the way the early Christians and Church authority understand it.

The Bible does not promote equality in male and female roles it promotes equality in that both male and female are saved under the umbrella of Christ Jesus with the same salvation. That both males and females are to be servants of one another meaning all mankind. The Bible says that a man must stand upright and be righteous. The term upright is being masculine. It does not mention that a woman must stand upright but that a woman must live righteously. The Bible says that a man must provide for his own household in that term in Greek it the word paternal father were as we’re it says that if a man doesn’t work than he shall not eat. That term in Greek is all mankind both male and female. We’re as it differs in ecclesiastics as mean fraternal male. A woman is not under the obligation by God to provide for her own household which is why the Bible says to take care of the widows and orphans. Notice widows is females without husbands not husbands without a wife. A paternal male who does not provide for his own household is lower than an infidel (unbeliever). God says that a husband must be the spiritual leader of the house and priest of the home. A father in the house was even higher than a rabbi who came to visit the home of a family. When Eve ate of the knowledge of good and evil she was accountable to her own fall, when Adam sinned all mankind fell. Leaders are held under more accountability.
