Planning on getting one for my wife on our wedding anniversary. She had the original but the kids destroyed it. This will definitely bring back her memories when she was Queen of gamer in her house back then 👍

I'd like to think of Sega as the really talented cool kid that doesn't want to work that hard. When they don't care about what they make, it's a gamble on if its good. But when they actually put effort into it, what they make doesn't just turn out well, it turns out great.

Shouldn’t have ever let go of my original system. Now I’m really getting excited for the release in September!

Thinking about buying this for my dad. He had a Genesis and a Game Gear, and he loved Earthworm Jim. This was how I got introduced to video games, and we really bonded over this. Later in life, he doesn’t have interest in video games so much anymore, but this would be a good reminder to him.

Darius look a lot like Konami's Gradius for the NES.

Darius was an arcade hit because it used 3 side-by-side television screens for a widescreen experience (think of the 6-player X-men arcade game, but wider). It was hard to ignore that beast when you saw it in the arcade. It was stunning in the 80s, but it does not transfer well to a single screen experience. It's an average run of the mill shooter at best.

Mega Man the Wily Wars was not released on the Wii VC. It was actually released on the Sega Channel in the US. so technically it was on the Genesis platform here, just not in physical form. Only Japan and Europe

I've played both Japanese and UK versions of megaman wily wars. Watching through rgs playthru. It's definitely the 60hz version running. I could tell by the speed of the bgm running through the background as its a lot slower on the pal uk release

Saturn is not going to happen at any real point right now, no one has managed to get a fully functional Saturn emulator out in all this time. That systems chipset was a nightmare.

Being a fan of both GameSack and My Life in Gaming's content, I'm disappointed in their reviews on this product as both channels are usually very honest with their actual thoughts on the games/hardware they review. I felt, however, they both went out of their way to sugarcoat the flaws and give over-glowing reviews of what looks to me like mediocre hardware.

I've always wondered why Sonic 3 is always excluded. That's one of the best games on the Genesis.

@@BruceWayne-mh2qf It was on the Ps2, GC, DS, Ps3, XB360 & it's on the recent SEGA collection but only on PC for some reason. I don't think it's licensing. Seems like a recent choice to exclude it from consoles.

@@stephenobrien6983 Its because SEGA doesn't own the OST. And nope, its not on the Recent SEGA collection. The most recent release was on Steam in 2012.

If it is because of the music then they should just redo the music with new original music. Yeah, it wouldn't be the same as we remembered, but at least then the game itself can still be included.

I hope Sega spent the summer manufacturing as many Sega mini's as they could because I do not want to be at the mercy of scalpers once this releases.

@@TylerScow Pre-ordering didn't help the NES Mini buyers either to get one guaruanteed on release day… Trust me… Lots of people still had to wait a long time till they got one due to the extremely limited supply.
