I have a question for the Sikh community (I am a christian, who loves learning about other religions). The question is that I have for sikhs is, do we christians and sikhs believe in the same God, but just have our own different perceptions of God? Becuase I know us christians, muslims and Jews all believe in the same God, but i was wondering if sikhs do to. I hope someone can answer this question, and stay safe my Sikh brothers

As per what I know, which is not a lot, is that the core tenant of Sikhi is the concept of 1 Oankar - 1 God. The Sikh guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib begins with " 1 God". The guru teaches us that all is a manifestation and representation of God. All religions worship in their own ways this divine; some light candles, some sing, some call him near, some far, some call him the creator, some the destroyer and so on. If you wish to learn more about Sikhi, I would encourage you to read the ''Jap Ji Sahib''. You can easily find translations online, the only thing I advise is to keep in mind that these are translations and as such cannot convey the depth as is in its original form. Jap Ji Sahib is the foundational text of the Sikhs and was given to us by Guru Nanak. Within it you will find what Sikhi is truly about and it's core principles.

Perhaps I am the wrong person to answer this question, as I have iota of understanding in Sikhism, I think it is the same God, the Lord and Master of the Universe, Thou art the knower of all and thou givest and takest life with a word, abiding within thou beholdest thy creation within.

I believe Jesus tried to explain the nature of the oneness which is the same as the dharmic oneness, but that Paul, the council of Niccea and the process of the canonisation of the bible misinterpreted Jesus' teachings

I’m born into a Sikh family, but I believe in Jesus Christ. Only Jesus eliminates your sins, he died so we can have salvation. Jesus is the only way to heaven, the devil is the biggest deceiver, he made all these false Religions so he can lead people away from the truth. Hell is real/ that’s something a lot of people do not want to believe. Jesus came and became man so he can same people from that place. Recantation is completely false, once you die you get judgment. WAKE UP turn away from sin and call upon Jesus with all your heart, he will show you thing you would never believe, God showed me heaven, then he gave me a vision of hell.

The God Sikhs believe in is more of an energy or force. For example the energy that erupted during the big bang, that same force sustains the order of the universe as we see it. That same energy is within us and everything produced after that expansion of creation meaning all of nature on earth or any other planet for that matter all carry that universal energy. To Sikhs God is neither a being nor seperate and up there in the sky, we as humans are an extension of Gods energy and connect within.

It is one of the benefits of Sikhi and knowing the One, but it is not the essence. All of our Guru's taught us to remember the One.
