This generator supplier has created a hybrid generator container that houses solar, a battery system and a generator. A generator is at its most efficient when running with a high load, so for large parts of the day in this system, the generator remains off. Instead, batteries provide power via inverters like Victron Energy Quattros along with energy from the sun using solar. Only when the batteries run down to a certain level does the generator automatically turn on, charge and then turn off.
