Same opinion about the handle. I had mine years ago and ended up selling it after 6 months. It was an impulse buy for 3 reasons, made in USA, I liked the looks very much and the one I bought that time was in Vanadis 4E wich I wanted to try so bad. The steal was unmatched with anything I had at the time, man that Vanadis was good, I really tested it and have nothing but praises to the steel and heat treat. The issues I had: I did cut myself twice because of the closeness of the index finger to the edge. The textured G10 had a good grip for show, but in use it was more than awful, too rough, sharp, small, I couldn't get any lever on hard cuts, etc. And the sheath was not versatile at all. So recently I had an interest in the 3.5 wich although similar it doesn't have the appealing looks, but it checkes a more mature and experienced boxes for pulling the trigger on it. Also, the one I just ordered comes with an additional kydex sheath, so maybe this second chance would be the one that stays in my rotation, I hope, I'm still waiting on it. Although its Magnacut, and now I'm seen everywhere that BN magnacut is tempered too low...so we'll see.

I agree that the Magnacut should be harder. It resists corrosion well on my knife but underperforms on edge retention. HOWEVER, since I made mine a new handle and sheath, it is one of my favorite knives. It has a great blade shape for a small knife. Most people are not (and should not) be willing to do that with a knife that is already too expensive though.

I love the contoured handles but also found the textured to work well for me too. I’m a huge fan of Bradfords

I filmed some stuff recently with my sister, who has much smaller hands than I do. The Bradfords.fit her hands much better than they fit mine.

Thanks! I actually get a lot of angry comments because of my Bradford reviews. I stsnd by what I say about them though! I am currently making a new handle for my Guardian 3.2

The g10 handles are designed for maximum grip under harsh conditions. I feel they have there purpose. You could always put some gloves on your tender little hands.

I wouldn't call it "cutting power". what your comparing is weight to edge length.

They intentionally leave the glazer cutting marks as it's a tool to be used instead of putting a display. I actually don't agree with that notion and think it should be finished the same as the rest of the knife to give uniformity. The sheath is useless for me. I would recommend a White River knife over Bradford any day.

It seems like it. The problems with the Guardian3 were bad enough that I avoided using mine. The Guardian 3.2 is MUCH better, especially with the more rounded scale option.

I also hate these handles, and I couldn’t agree more about fit and finish. I have a G5 in 3v. I spent around $300 with the upgraded sheath and tec-lock. The blade looks like it is straight off the water-jet with tool marks all over the spine. The shape looks good but is functionally useless with that handle design. I never carry mine and I am probably going to sell it first chance I get. I bought a Tops Architect “Field-Buddy” 5.5 in 3V instead, and it is amazing.

The water jet or laser marks are left intentionally from first hand talking to Bradford. For whatever reason he decided to leave them since it's a knife to be used and not put on display or something. I just got a 3.2 and I'm pretty dissatisfied with that myself. I find White River to be a better quality knife better finish and comes with a better sheath. Luckily I didn't pay full price for it so now I'm determining if I should keep it or not
