Vert Shock completely transformed my game! I couldn't even dream of dunking before, and now it's a regular part of my game. You can find it here while it's still available: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jrmne8aJ1d2oYKM.html To anyone who wants to increase his vertical jump as well: - Focus on exercises that target the muscles used in jumping, such as squats, lunges, calf raises, and deadlifts. Incorporate both bodyweight exercises and weighted exercises to build strength. - Plyometric exercises help improve the power and explosiveness of your muscles. Include exercises like jump squats, box jumps, depth jumps, and bounding in your workout routine. - Work on your jumping technique to optimize your performance. Practice jumping with proper form, including using your arms to generate momentum and landing softly to reduce impact. See you guys when you reached your vertical jump goals!

This video is a godsend for anyone who wants to improve their dunking jump. Too many KZfaqrs focus on power exercises to improve your vertical. They will do nothing if you don't know the proper technique. Too little credit on their technique is given to athletes who can jump. Personally I never balled competitively so I never really worked on this but always thought that my technique was very poor as I had no idea how to jump at a hoop. Back then I also ran a 4.9 40, also with poor technique. I trained with a track team for a winter and improved my forty 4.6. Not world beating but a big improvement for me. I tell this story to encourage anyone who wants to improve their jumping to heed the advice on this video. Beautifully broken down steps and practicing the footwork as well. I also believe athletes will improve power by practicing these techniques. Well done!

I’m 6’4 and was a collegiate high jumper (one foot). This isn’t like being right or left handed. If you’re a hefty guy, two feet is more practical because you won’t be able to produce or convert the speed. The quick answer is to develop both, and use both as needed. There’s no good reason to pick just one. Why would you? Jumping one footed is quick and practical in layup and drive situations. Two foot is steadier for controlled situations. Develop both. Practice one foot jumping by doing layups. Don’t focus on power. Focus on getting as close to the rim as fast as you can (as though you’re being trailed by a defender). Accelerate so that you reach near 100% full speed your last two steps. The acceleration should feel like a ramp. Slow, slow, quick-GONE. Don’t load your jump like a leg press, explode the jump like you’re punching the ground. Think small rubber bouncy ball…not trampoline. Think violent, instantaneous explosion, NOT a hard push. Lightning strike, not strength. Doing high knee skips in a field or driveway REALLY helps. The skip should be a quick rhythm, buh-boom, and you should aim to soar. Fast forward motion, massive arcs. For two footed, practice standing jumps without a run. This will teach you to use your body - including your arms and appropriate leg bend - to maximize force. This will teach your brain how much arms, legs, and explosion are needed for max height without wearing you down from repeated run-ups. Combine this with run-up approaches keeping in mind that it is your SPEED that turns the standing jump into a launch.

You don't have 38 inches of vert. I'd bet my mortgage on that. Cause you'd have two handers, 360s, windmills, and probably an eastbay. 38 inches of vert is dumb high. The NCAA average for football is 32. Yeah no. Not at 14. We'd know who you were if that were the case. You'd be State level in everything, and getting offers.
