What is lost on the casual you tube observer is the fact that this man earns his living by his craft. No one but his paying customer has any right to criticize his work. It is very generous of he, his wife and his dog to share these views into their life. It is a joy to watch videos without product placement and shelves full of cheap plastic crap. I look forward to your next post.

That's wrong, nothing is immune to criticism. I love this craft and this videos but if I feel like there's something that should be said about whatever he does I'll say it. And that's what happens when you upload anything on the internet.

That's like saying that me, as a bystander, can't complain when a doctor treats a patient badly. With that being said, there is of course different ways to say something and sometimes the best thing to do is to be quiet.

There are many furniture makers who can make well but design poorly or design well and make poorly. You are one of the few who can make well and design well, it's a rare attribute.

I love these short videos. They are small works of art: beautifully shot and edited, no talking, no narration of any kind. Just witnessing the calm mastery of wood craft. Congratulations to the lady who makes the videos. And thank you.

Your product honors the many years that a tree invests in growing, and then turning into lumber used for a piece of art. Your work is timeless and will be popular until the day trees decide it is not worth growing because we have failed them in making beautiful things. Keep up the good work, and stick close to your Japanese woodworking heritage.

I totally agree with MarkE but, please do not use ink to mark your products. Return to burning your stamp into the wood. Ink will eventually come off. Burning your name into the wood makes your name last as long as the product and never be lost. Too many 1700 and 1800, even 1900s Craftsman have been lost because their names are not attached to their furniture today. Sending lots of love 💜 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵 USA.
