No "Regular American Guy" would have come up with his hilarious takes on the English language. 😂 we've all grown up with it and it has insideously made us think it's "normal" and only when a foreigner says, "but, waiiiit...whyyyy..." do we actually realize how weird our language is! Ismo also makes jokes about his native language :D Maybe it's his perspective on things that's unique. He's not trying to put anyone down with his jokes, he just observes the world as it is and pays attention even to the tiniest details, seeing the funny side in them.

I saw Ismo yesterday on stage here in my home town Kuopio. For a regular American dude he speaks amazing finnish and he only lives part time in Finland.

It's all a show - Ismo is from Vermont. Her aunt has cotton fields so wide, they speak Spanish in South, Spanish in West, Canada in North and in East.. they speak Finnish.

Probably the fifth bit I've heard of Ismo's, and I get it. I laugh every time. And while I may not possess! that unique, Finnish sense of humor, I respond to it most favorably. Do you know where my first Finnish laugh comes from? Any podium interview of Mika Hakkinen back when he was a front-runner in FIA F1 Grand Prix racing. Mika had that subtle smirk disguised as a smile, now and then, when responding to any interveiwer's questions... That's when I knew I loved the Finns and their below-the-radar personalities. Marcus Gronholm, on the other hand... what a stick in the mud! lmao Here's wishing you continued success, Ismo!

@@HNedel You can find a lot of videos of his doing stand up in Finnish, its a lot more rare to see him live novadays because he lives in the US, but if you go talk to him in Finnish, he understands. He definetly knows the Finnish language.

There was a GE turbine rep from Finland I worked with years ago.. We spent quite a bit of money at a local bar.. His name is Per . Pronounced like pear.. Finn's are hilarious!!
