This is TheAussie, a former dev on the GOV team that built the Russian and new South Wales focus trees, as well as assisted with several of the USA trees. i just want to say thank you for playing our mod, as we've struggled for the past couple of years to be able to bring it up to a standard we can say we're proud of. Whilst there are still a few issues, for the most part I would say that we are proud of what we made, although as I left the team last month I cannot say I speak on behalf of them. Why are the Dutch in Australia? Because they charted most of the coast line of Australia from 1644 (Abel Tasman, hence Tasmania, although he didn't name it after himself) and I assume this mod has them actually colonise it. They had almost 200 years to do it before Cook figured out it wasn't entirely a barren wasteland. A bit lazy of the Dutch if you ask me, they seem to have missed where Perth ended up, they stopped before they found where Adelaide was going to be and they found Tasmania which couldn't have been that bad to look and went "yeah nah" and left it.
