Istanbul has been the capital city of three great empires in the world and is the best martyr in the world in terms of its history, culture, eğzotic spirit and geography. Go to Paris, it has no other attractions other than expensive shopping stores and the iron pile Eiffel tower.😂😂

The fish was barbun (red mullet), expensive in Turkey. I'm spoiled living in Izmir, I get to eat seaside all the time. Plenty of nightclub action as well.

It was a pleasure to watch and learn a little about Turkish history/culture. I almost forgot...I flew through Istanbul on a return flight to Qatar. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go explore, but I really liked their airport. That sounds weird to say, but it was very nice.

9:35 You were in Karakoy ferry landing on the western side straight across from Kadakoy (eastern side) were I lived. That fishing bridge is just south ...down the street from Galata Kulesi a very famous icon turret structure that was formerly a prison. There is a restaurant on top. To the north of the turret is Taksim a cool walking street with lots of shops and great restrants. Zubeyir Ocakbasi in Taksim was my fav. bbq restaurant. Istanbul is awesome!

Hey Lauren, good to see you checking in. That melon is a favorite of mine and has a very short season, I find them in So California grocery stores for 3wks to a month, labeled Santa Clause melon or Mexican friends call them "Piel de Sapo" or frog skin.
