4:09 this reminds me of something I either encountered or had a fever dream of a game that I think was called "RC Helicopter", basically a game where you control an rc helicopter around a house and find collectables. Anyway, I vaguely remember finding a way into a room off of another room that was all yellow and had hallways going every which way. Everytime I try to remember it, my mind draws a blank. This was way before the backrooms concept was made.

okay the weird thing about the they will never stop finding the bodythreat is... I just finished book where this was basically the plot. an evil grocery manager and her butcher minion were grinding the other employees, and random homeless people up into hamburger meat stuffing them into morph suits with computer controlled face masks and turning them into a hoard of sausage meat zombies It also had like one of the best lines ever. “Okay we are going in and the stuff your gonna see is pretty nasty. Just remember most of the enemy aren’t human any more and your company health plan covers therapy”

okay so about the hyperfixation one- I did that with criminal minds 'cause like, I kept hearing things about Spencer Reid and Matthew Gray Gubler- and from my understanding of the character and the actor who plays him, I knew I'd immediately get way too invested in it, so I stayed away from it. The straw that broke the camel's back was getting disney+ through a free trial and seeing that it had a bunch of criminal minds on it and was like "what can it /really/ hurt? Sure, crime shows and relate heavily to smart characters with no social skills- but I can stop at any time-" I couldn't. I couldn't stop at any time. now I'm reading so much fanfiction that it scares me (and I was already reading a lot of it beforehand- anyway-) as a way to keep myself busy from watching actual episodes, because once i start watching episodes I'll start binging and I'm not emotionally, physically or academically ready to handle that behaviour- so here I am rambling incoherently in a KZfaq comments section. moral of the story: if you see something and think "hmm this is looking like a new hyperfixation that I might wanna start up, but I have a lot of work to do," don't. just don't do it.

14:38, This reminded me of a film I watched last year. there was some short film somewhere in southern Asia that had a demon disguised as the virgin Mary. The "Mary" deceived a man into committing a murder and near the end, it pans down so you can see the Mary had goat hooves and there was a slide thing that said that you can tell if the virgin Mary that appeared to you is real or not by looking for hooves. Some of the imagery just flashed into my mind because of this post.
