Never would I ever spend $2k for one of these...... using 3 of them is $6k, you could get a high-end home theatre for that.

The fact that Lew is in a long, echo-y hallway type of setup, makes me think he’s not getting the most out of those

I subbed originally when i was 8 on my other acc and have been subbed ever since 2012. Feels crazy that I've been watching Lew this long and never even question anything. No matter what i get good content it's crazy.

I am curious on how these do the self aware orientation thing when the point on listening is being controlled via the app. Don't tell me they are indexed, it should be more complicated for such an alien level tech.

That's pretty amazing. I am wondering that if you did set up a few of these, can you set each one up to play different audio files at the same time? Say you wanted to watch a movie using one of them and the other 2 are playing music

back in 2013 when I made my own 3d printer, I designed up a dodecahedron speaker ball. I used the guts of a cheap bluetooth speaker, and 6 pair of speaker cones. The sound quality wasn't great, but it really sounded like the sound was coming from that specific spot. if you played a voice, it sounded like it was coming from a person speaking in the room, because it was reflecting sounds off the wall behind it.

I remember the time when unbox therapy was more than just ~10min infomercials.

This is a pretty interesting design. You guys should invest in some binaural mics for gear like this. It would be cool to hear directionality in vids like this.

The one driver you thought to be a speaker underneath along the stand was a passive radiator i guess since the center part is occupied where your typical drivers have voice coils to it
