Why not? Switzerland defend vary narrowly, which gives us lots of opportunity to create in wide areas and get crosses in. Shaw, Saka, Gordon, Foden, TAA and so on. And it kind of covers up the Guehi suspension by playing a newcomer (probably Konsa) with two experienced centre backs around him.

Any top international coach can spot what is not working during a game and change it. It's taken Southgate 4 games to do what should have been done after the first game. That is why we have won nothing under him and will never win anything under him despite having the best attacking players we've ever had.

Id drop the following players- Rice,Foden,Trippier, Kane. And set up like this - Pickford TAA. Stones. Guehi. Walker Bellingham. Mainoo. Saka. Palmer. Gordon Watkins play with this team and I think we would smash anyone if we set up like this. Don’t need 5 defenders should be an attacking formation with plenty of width. Bellingham drops to midfield and MainOo stays ahead of rice. We don’t need all 3. Kane is dead weight and Foden has been inconsistent too. It’s very simple but the manager is a fool.

Even though the performances have been terrible no matter what Southgate does someone will have a different opinion they have been over hyped by the cursed media / papers press built up to be knocked down as usual

It’s too defensive against an inferior team. 5 defenders 2 defensive midfielders. We still won’t have enough width. I think it could be a backwards move . We need to be on the offensive we have the players. I could understand 3 centre backs against Spain but not Switzerland. I think it’s gonna be 0-0 at 90 minutes and then god knows what after that

Switzerland are a good team with some excellent individuals he needs to go three at the back that's what he knows and the team knows, plus it matches up with thier formation because he carnt play the same as we have been doing because Switzerland will beat us guaranteed. Dont get your comment. Everyone, players supporters have been asking for this change, obviously not you.

@@JayJay-tb5cw 😂😂 went to extra time like I predicted and was still a poor performance but some of our players played well. Again we relied on individual brilliance. Southgates tactics and style, choice of players and not bringing on players like Gordon Watkins etc are what is going to garuanteed we don’t win this tournament. One of the pundits said Switzerland were poor which made me luagh becuase if that’s true then what does it make us? Slightly less poor but good at pens? Shocking. Boring negative football

@user-rq8si4eu1s your a negative Nancy, cheer up lad were in another semi-final, better performance from the lads deserved the victory in the end he could of used the bench better but onwards and upwards, Southgate been our best manager since alf Ramsey and thats a fact so shut up and be happy if you know what that is. 😉

I am happy we are through of course but we’ve been extremely lucky and it’s down to individuals not Southgate. A better manager would have got us through these teams like a knife through butter with the players we’ve got. I am happy but frustrated at the same time because we should be a lot better 😅
