I gave my parents a kit like this a few years ago. They thought it was silly and didn’t make much of it, but they went along with it. It was displayed at their 60th wedding anniversary celebration, sat on a shelf in their home, but wasn’t something they cherished. Last March my father passed away and this has become a beloved treasure for my mother and sits with pride in her living room where she can always see it. She makes sure that anyone who comes to the house sees it. She adores it and all the memories that little piece of plaster jogs for her. I’ve seen her lovingly place her hand on top of the sculpture and tears well up in her eyes. I highly recommend doing this if you’re lucky enough to have both your parents yet. Don’t wait, don’t pass up an opportunity to make a treasured item that can be passed on when they’re gone. I know someday it’ll be in a place of honor in my home.

Put it on a wooden base and get a little "tag" with the date y'all did the mold. Maybe "Lester 💘 Jami" on it to place on the wooden base. The base is to keep it steady and preserve furniture/shelf that you place it on, from scratches. I'm tickled pink that it came out great and the whole story(he's) that go with it! Jamie.. I made one of these for my daughter when she was in infant. To fix the small imperfections use a nail file.. emery board.. it's just a very small piece of sandpaper that works well. I love how yours turned out ❤❤
