Surgeons who encourages people to go extreme should be criminal accountable and lose their license. I can't imagine how badly the leg extension recovery would be. I had a multiple level fusion because of a broken back. I grew 5cm overnight once my spine straightened and hardware was implanted. That was very pain and drawn-out recovery. The legs would be horrendous, the risk for post operation infection would be pretty high.

I've been "mewing" since around 2007. On an episode of America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks basically explained how to "mew" for the purpose of getting rid of a double chin when being photographed. I started doing that every day for hours. I still do it now, it’s just a habit at this point, and it does help temporarily hide a double chin. But! I... do not have the super chiseled jaw/chin people are claiming to achieve after a few months of mewing 😂

The hight extension thing is wild...I just keep thinking about all the weight our legs have to carry, and now the bones being broken up and meddled with. It's all fine at first, I'm sure but this seems like a way to develop mobility issues very early on.
@LizStaples
@LizStaples 2 ай бұрын
I’m not sure if it would cause mobility issues in the future, (most are due to joint issues). If the femur heals well it may be actually less prone to break in the future. The big risk is more that it won’t heal well or complications in the surgery. Anytime you are put under there is a risk of not waking up, and infection risks stuff like that.

I had 2 back surgeries. I had spinal fusion surgery and a repair done to fix a broken sacrum (tailbone) and then my hip flexors released. I spent a total of 43 hours in surgery. I hate coming out of anesthesia. And I hate recovering from surgery. It was horrible recovering when it was something that I needed to relieve the pain I was in. Why would anyone choose to have surgery or an injection just for purely cosmetic reasons. I’m aging and fine with it. It looks horrible to see someone with these huge puffy lips, or a botched eye lift, or a nose job that was suppose to narrow your nose and open your breathing passage and break it again and shave down the bones in your nose. I have a short wide nose from breaking it as a little kid. I even had a Doctor telling me I required it because my left nostril will only get worse later on. He said with the way he wrote the order insurance would cover the full cost. And I thought about it while he was telling the nurse what the break down cost of it all would be if he didn’t write it up like he did. When she came in I told her I wasn’t interested. He said that he could give me the nose I could have had.

However, it was for medical reasons due to a rare debilitative bone disorder in which I was born with. It's horrendously painful and if it were up to me, I would not have undergone the procedure. 1:20 this is not what minmaxing means lol. the term "minmaxing" comes from RPG gaming. it means that you use (or abuse) the rules of a given RPG to create a character that has maximized traits in one aspect at the expense of minimizing all other traits. for example, you are minmaxing if you figure out a way to increase your character's strength to the highest possible value while reducing all other abilities to their lowest possible value. Its often the same thing as creating a "glass canon" which is a character or item that does the most possible damage with little or no defensive abilities.

I've had upper and lower palatal expansion using hardware that puts constant pressure on the palate to stimulate expansion. it took over a week of constant pressure from an appliance to be able to turn the key once, creating a sliver of space the size of a sheet of paper. Over the course of several years the expanders widened my arch by only a few millimeters. If this is something you want or need you should get an orthodontist to do this for you and not try to fix it with tongue pressure (which will not do anything).

I highly doubt they take into account what shoving metal rods is going to do for those joints later, because that's more wear and tear on your knees for the weight alone. And then I started thinking about bone marrow. What stress are those rods going to have on the femurs like that?? And blood cell production comes from the marrow, so it's also asking your body to produce more blood to sustain itself without actually compensating? Like. Yeah no. Either they're not going to be happy at an older age, or just, flat out, they're not going to last that long.

‼️So a little more info on botox and filler if anyone is considering getting it done‼️ Botox only freezes the muscle from moving, so once the botox wears off you will go back to having creases/wrinkles. Its something you must maintain every few months. The issue with this is, because it freezes the muscles, your muscles are now not "working-out", so what happens to the muscles in your face when they dont get any exercise? They sag. So yes, you'll look fantastic and "younger" for the first few years, but as the years progress your face will droop. What do people do to combat a droopy face? Filler. Filler never 100% dissolves, it will remain in your face and migrate to other areas, so the more you get...the more puffy you end up looking. Filler also expands the skin overtime, so when you stop getting filler your skin isnt going to snap back to how it was, its going to sag. So now you're battling saggy over-filled skin and weak muscle from too much botox. So what do people do to combat this problem? MORE FILLER AND BOTOX. This is literally how you ruin your face. Its a never ending cycle. Notice how lately Kylie Jenner's face is drooping from all the filler and botox? She got them done from a young age and is already looking like a 40 year old woman. I started getting botox and filler at age 22 because I thought I needed it. I used to have extremely deep winkles on my forehead, but I stopped getting filler and botox at 26 because my chin filler migrated to the left side of my face and left me looking weird. Luckily filler can be dissolved. Im 28 now and the only "extreme" skincare I do is microneedling. This literally works to produce collagen - collagen depletes from your body 1% every year after the age of 25 - this is why we start to look older and our skin starts to sag. So microneedling basically produces more collagen in your face and does a better job at reducing wrinkles overtime than botox because its not freezing the muscles, so your face wont sag. Instead your face will stay tighter and naturally plump, which inturn means you wont need filler. The only issue with microneedling is that you need to do like 5+ sessions for it to be noticeable, but its longlasting and actually makes you look more youthful as you age, unlike botox. If you're considering botox/filler, dont, or at least get VERY small amounts. Look into microneedling, stay away from skin threads (absolutely horrendous). If you find microneedling to be too painful, then look into AquaGold facials. AND....for those of you who dont want to touch your face at all, the absolute best skincare product to use to reduce wrinkles and pigmentation is RETINAL / RETINOL.

P.s. the great irony in botox and lipfiller is that they 99% of the time are very obvious and look way worse than without. Lipfiller especially always tends to look comically bad. But girls see girls on insta with big lips either natural or fake in the right lighting with the right photoshop effects and decide they will gladly ruing their lips for life to have knock off fat lips that fold when you talk, You ever notice that? The lower part of the upper lip will kinda fold and get stuck on the teeth while a balloon upper lip part is protruding above?

Having a positive outlook on life can change a lot about you, you're mental health and your own body image. It all boils down to your life outlook and how inflexible or pessimistic you are about yourself, events, and moments. if you can only see the negative your mental health will be Negative (people can tell trust me) if you are honestly saying "I can't", "I won't" or "I hate" you need better vocabulary but... start appreciating the small things (happy moments, quiet, relaxed or the ebbs and flow) if you focus on the negative you foster the negative.

Fortunately they were not consistent and went away after quitting oral contraceptive - that's what started them in the first place. I'd definitely encourage talking with a doctor (especially one that's specialised in migraines etc) for figuring out a treatment, whether it's surgery, hormonal stuff - whatever, I'm sure Caleb and anyone with migraines has hunted around the internet for possibilities. Caleb I have had chronic head aches and migraines, and one of the best things that has helped me in Botox for migraines. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It's not administered the same way that cosmetic botox and I think they actually use different toxin. But as a plus, I do have a little less creasing on my forehead and eyebrows 😅 but I don't look like a freak thank goodness. Also, I work with a naturopath and he recommends it over other injections. Obviously if things like acupuncture and changes in diet work well, then that's the best. But it has helped me reduce the amount of medication I've had to poison my tummy with which has helped me over all. Care about you brother 👍🏼
