Woohoo, it's finally done!! I love exploring the years during which Shen Qingqiu was dead, and the mourning of Cang Qiong (plus Luo Binghe). Hope you enjoy this, let me know if you need any clarification on what's going on! :D
The song is "It's Quiet Uptown" from the musical "Hamilton" by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and all of the characters are from the book The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.

I think their relationship is so interesting cause yeah they're silly and joke around and bully each other but, on the other hand, they're also the only thing they have of their original world... and i think the gravity of that dynamic really isn't explored as much as it should be in the book... That was so touching. The way everyone mourned his death was always a really interesting thing in the novel. It is not exactly described, but with your animatic you can clearly imagine how everyone was coping these years. Everyone ended up loving SQQ so much as friend, as a teacher, as just a person that it even took the main character by surprise. Anyways. You did such a great job. I especially want to praise your backgrounds - incredibly detailed and beautiful.

I finished the second book TODAY, yes TODAY and then I was this... If my family didn't interrupt me several times, I'd be sobbing...I also like how you portrayed the worst being not only Luo Binghe but Liu Qingge too because let's be honest, they BOTH love Shen qinqiu...And I'm in a mess because it gives me both the ships's sorrow...

I love how this shows everyones reaction to their loss. SQH had to be my favorite tho. He has been alone for so long and now he met his bro. Together they would survive and live. So he tends to the flowers because anything else means giving up. And he can't

Ah yes a stab in the heart just what I needed today, my poor feels were not prepared! I love how you were able to include so many characters and their pain towards loosing Shen Qingqiu, Shen Yuan really did a whole reputation rework for the original goods and now the whole mountain is mourning his loss plus Binghe of course. Poor beans a mess after all. The story would've been a whole lot sadder if we'd gotten to see this for ourselves instead of getting to gloss over it with Shen and his chaotic commentary and constant misunderstandings.

Thank you so much, this work is pure art, your artistic style is marvelous and I am especially grateful for your idea to portray all the people who mourned and felt loss because of Shen Qingqiu. This video is sincerely sad, but the awareness of upcoming events makes it also heartwarming. How much unexpected joy they will all soon feel! :) But it also makes me wonder a little - what would the original Shen Qingqiu think if he knew that one day so many people would mourn his death from the depth of their hearts...?

@@takingasterix UwU~ I am looking forward for your amazing art. :) Well, I think that if Shen Jiu (I mean his spirit) had the opportunity to see this, he might feel something related to the feelings of the original Luo Binghe when he saw those loving interactions between Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu version 2.0. Jealousy, anger and mute sadness: “Why him and not me?” (I recently finished "The System" and I admit that knowing that these two worlds coexist at the same time kind of blew my mind xd) And also I like the idea that the original Shen Qingqiu could then look at it from the other point of view and see how this "imposter" in his body managed to do many things that he himself might have wanted to accomplish but was unable to fulfill (for example, befriend Liu Qingge), and then he, roughly speaking... could find pacification in this knowledge and rest in peace.

@@takingasterix mmm, I haven't read any fics about Shen Jiu (especially if you mean the ones who lighten things up for him), but I'd like to read someday. :) Although I feel that none of these works will seem particularly convincing to me, because when I feel sadness and pain, thinking about Shen Qiu as a child and as an adult, he still did some awful and disgusting things, and not for some “better reasons” or having no other choice. And a terrible childhood and a youth full of humiliation do not cancel these things. His version of Shen Qingqiu seems doomed, dead-end and hopeless to me... And this makes me very sad. However it's good when everything ends well. UwU Both in the novel and in fanfiction.

There's also an animated donghua, but it's only one season and not super great 😅 If you're at all interested, I definitely recommend checking it out!! (Or looking up the summary, at least!)

The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, it's a Chinese danmei by the author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Look it up and you can get a good summary! This is a very fanmade take on the story, but if any of these characters or themes look interesting to you, you should totally check it out! There's also an animated show adaptation, but it got cancelled after one season and honestly isn't the best...
