With snow on the way, it was a good time to get into the woods to get this hot tent camping season started....and I am doing it with a bunch of new gear! New gear for the New Year!! Happy New Year to you all. I hope the New Year found you well. Lets do this!

Same here, we have had very little snow. And most of the good snow we got in this storm was wiped out by a lot of rain earlier this week. Sucks. But.....it does look as though winter is on her way. We may be getting a real good charge of snow. Looks like multiple storm systems are heading our way!!!! Fingers crossed.

That stove jack is in what I consider to be the best location. Not too far back, and not so high that the stove sits right next to the pole. It's great! I really like this tent. And that stove!!!! Dude. Amazing! A beast indeed

I missed this yesterday, nice to see you. It has begun. I’m at my camp we got over eight inches capped with a little rain. Horrible to shovel but a nice base for snowmobiling. More on the way. I completed my winter backpacking gear, hopefully a successful Bigelow summit and then a pick up my new sled and it’s showtime. Good luck this winter see you again 😊❤️🇺🇸❄️☃️🛷🔥⛺️🌄

Oh my goodness! So sorry. No we are getting snow maybe less than predicted with a little rain cap off. Hopefully more progress than damage. The last snow rain was awesome for trail snowmobiling, hard base. This area has a consistency with snow that why I’m here. Good luck snow brother

I have to admit, truckpacking is fun. It has its place no doubt. My channel is not worthy of the OGR comparison. Most of that snow got wiped out by the rain as well. And it is pouring outside right now. Booooo. Hiss. Boo. This winter sucks so far. Oh well. Gotta make the best of it. Happy New Year

Happy New Year Justin! So many new toys 😄! That tent looks like a winner. Great bang for the buck. I especially like the tie out points and the mesh on the vents. Can't beat a waterproof YKK either. I almost look forward to the scratches .....so I don't have to worry about it anymore🤣 Kinda like my canoes Lol! We are doing well out here in the woods. Knob Creek. Good choice. We have some here at the house and that’s some of Shawn’s favorite. Kentucky would totally be shutdown with a Foot of snow 😂 Dude… the hot tent looks so comfortable and cozy. I’m glad you got some snow brother 😁👊🏻

That snow we got is being destroyed by rain right now😡 BUt we have some more snow on the way........fingers crossed. I'll be getting at you soon bro. My pomoly stove does the same thing....it is black with soot more often than not. Sure, they stay clear when you get a ripping fire going, but as soon as they get shut down...the build up begins.

Awesome property, both my son and daughter have 4 Runner and I have a Tacoma so basically a 4 runner truck. Awesome vehicle. Looks like a good drink, call me weird but I'd like ice in mine lol. Great set up there, I'm looking for a good tee pee type tent my prospector style takes too long to set up for one night more of a long term set up. New subscriber here I really like what I'm seeing here.

Toyota knows how to make a quality/capable vehicle! The 4runner is actually my wifes. I have the Tacoma sport. lol. We have become a yota family. Much like yourself by the sound of it.. I do like bourbon on the rocks, love it in fact! Once you get the hang of setting up these pyramid/tee pee tents, they can go up quick. That is one of the things I really like about them. Almost ruined that gopro camera. There is too much snow, but I think I could deal with it. It just doesn't snow tgat often here where I live. It does occasionally snow but it's usually short lived.

Yeah man, these Winnerwell stoves are incredible! Paired quite nicely with the tent! What a setup. The flap..I'm confident I can fix it easily...but it was an unfortunate mishap on my end. I could have easily prevented that. Oh well. Shit happens. Lol The Knob Creek 9....I think it to be fantastic! I really enjoyed it. Here is the link to the tent. Burn dryer wood....Window glass is viewable. Wet wood....NO window

I agree that wet wood doesn't help the situation. But that is not my experience at all. We have been heating our home with wood for 10 years. Our wood stove has 2 glass panels and they need periodic cleaning. I can assure you we do not burn wet wood. Once you close those stoves down, the creosote builds up. Nature of the beast. Everyone that burns wood to heat their home needs to clean their chimney.....if you burn wood, creosote happens.

It is also worth pointing out that when you are in the woods with set ups like these, you burn what is available, and it is never seasoned cord wood.

Also....when I burnt in my Pomoly wood stove, I did use our cord wood for the process. By the time the burn in was complete, that side panel window was black.

It sure is!! On my first impression, this tent is of much higher quality that the Hussar plus. This tent straight up feels like a Seek Outside. No joke. It has really impressed me.

Thanks for the awesome adventure! I am looking at purchasing a new hot tent. I bought about 5 walmart tipi tents and modified them with a luxe stove jack but their cheap and im ready to upgrade. The price point really puts me off on the seekoutside although i know their quality is next to none. Would you recommend this hot tent you used in this video? Two doors and mesh screens are nice, we have massive flies here in the summer that bite hamburgers out of ya. Also, would your seekoutside stove have been as warm if used in this tent? Or would you reccomend a larger stove? I like it warm and tend to get cold easily. Thank you for your expertise!

I have no problems recommending this tent. It is fantastic at the price point, and outperforms many in a higher price bracket. Unless you get a system with a floor that seals up tight, a screen door is kind of useless. You would be much better suited by getting a bug mesh inner tent to go inside this one. My large seek stove would heat this tent, but a bigger stove would do better.

I thought the same thing. But, no sign of actual flames. I am pretty confident at this point the materials will likely just melt opposed to combustion due to reaching its flashpoint. If it was exposed to flame, I suspect that to be a different story. This mishap of mine is unfortunate, but I feel like I learned a few things from it.....maybe

Remove your logo off the screen very distracting

That logo is a watermark. It helps prevent the content from being stolen. It is working so far. I have been using it for just over 4 years now, and your complaint about it is the first. I do appreciate the feedback, but I will continue to use it for now
