Over 500,000 golfers have watched FireSide chats 1,2 and 3 videos on my site. This posting is the combining of all three into one video. If you are a Moe Norman fan, it will be one of the best insights you will ever get of the REAL Moe Norman.
Moe Norman Was My Friend - The Fireside Chat - April 1995
Pine Needles - North Carolina
The day started with a two-hour clinic for Peggy Kirk Bell, her staff and students. The afternoon was shooting several hours of detailed Video of Moe’s mechanics. After dinner, Jack & Moe sat down by the fire place and had a chat which lasted for about an hour.
The video provides an insight into Moe Norman. Jack & Moe had traveled together and performed clinics for about two years (1993 to 1995). During the time, Jack listened to Moe’s many stories and poems. During the fireside chat, Jack just kept asking Moe to express his many stories and poems so future generations of golfers could see into the mind of the Greatest Ball Striker to ever live.
Comments of note on the video:
: What’s the longest walk in golf?
: Mind is a generator - Body is a motor - Clubhead is the trigger - Ball is a
bullet
: You are what you thing you are
: What is happiness
: Perfect grip - Lifeline of the right hand - Never in the fingers
: My Little Robot
: Buckle - Sit - Slide - Bump: Stabilize - Energize - Contain - Release
: Losers live in classic style, in the never land called someday I’ll, Winners
: A good golfer is----:
: Have an alert attitude of indifference
: Under lost and found: 24 carat golden day
: Broken window at age 11: But dad, I hit the bulls-eye
: Carpenter and palm grip: Fingers are live, palms are dead

Forgive me for being a scientists!! Motivationally, that we only you a certain percent of our brains is just fine! However, scientifically, it is incorrect that we only use a percent of our brains. Scientifically published information shows that the brain has INFINITE CAPACITY to learn new things! This is far superior to using10% or less. When you google the statement of brain percent used, here is a quote from one article: The idea that humans only use 10% of their brain is a myth ¹. In reality, most of the brain is almost always active, even when a person is performing a very simple action ¹. Studies have debunked the myth that humans use only 10 percent of their brain ¹. According to a survey from 2013, around 65 percent of Americans believe that we only use 10 percent of our brain ¹. However, research suggests people use most of their brain ¹. The brain weighs about 3 pounds and contains around 100 billion neurons - cells that carry information ¹. The percentage of the brain in use at any given time varies from person to person. It also depends on what a person is doing or thinking about ¹. ¹: [Here](www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321060) is an article from Medical News Today that debunks the myth that humans only use 10% of their brain. Source: Conversation with Bing, 10/26/2023 (1) What percentage of our brain do we use? - Medical News Today. www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321060. (2) Why Do We Only Use 10 Percent of the Brain? - Psychology Today. www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/modern-minds/201803/why-do-we-only-use-10-percent-the-brain. (3) How Much of Our Brain Do We Use? - Your Heights. www.yourheights.com/blog/health/how-much-of-our-brain-do-we-use/. (4) Do We Really Use Only 10 Percent of Our Brain? | Britannica. www.britannica.com/story/do-we-really-use-only-10-percent-of-our-brain. How can we use 100% of our brain? The good news is that you already do use 100% of your brain. However, there are strategies you can use to protect your brain health and perhaps even improve your brain fitness. Brain exercises can help keep your mind sharp, and taking steps to stay active, get plenty of sleep, and eat a balanced diet can protect your brain's health. What is the maximum capacity of the brain? The human brain is composed of approximately 86 billion neurons. While memory capacity is certainly finite, the maximum limit of the amount of information and memories a person can store is not known. According to one estimate, the maximum capacity of the brain is around 2.5 petabytes (or around one million gigabytes).15 In other words, it is unlikely that you will ever run out of storage space.

When Moe was just developing his mechanics, his peers told him he could never play tour level golf with mechanics that looked like his. Moe would say, “let me see you hit a ball". He would then say, “I hit it better than you do!" Thankfully, Moe never succumbed to the self-appointed teachers with tips.

I'm 65 and just started using Moe's set up and grip and it has change how I hit the ball now straight almost every time. Now I just need to put in the reps learning the back swing and downswing and hit 200 hundred balls a day for a while. He was the Greatest Ball Striker of all time, Woods and Trevino said that..

Moe's lifeline right hand grip is why he had a MAJOR mechanical advantage in squaring the clubface. If take the right hand grip out of the fingers and put in the lifeline, you will be more accurate.

Moe Norman has the enthusiasm that we all have for the game... He also has the mental side figured out - that was the real reason why he was the best ball striker ever. It takes a lot of mental fortitude to hit a golf ball and that's why it is so hard for most people.

Moe had a superior right hand grip that made it easier for him to square the clubface. by the time he was 19 years old, he had developed what the called his "Feeling of Greatness". Moe had such superior mechanics that conquering the fear mode was easy.

I grew watching Jack Nicklaus play, amongst the others. My dad must have watched Moe, taught me similarly. I remember Jack saying the same thing about his grip with his left hand holding like he had a hammer . I use the interlocking grip but my hand position is the same as Moe’s. Perhaps I can make a run at being the oldest rookie on the Senior tour, I’m only 59, some day.

Just Google "Fear of Success". It is a well-studied subject. Moe was a very shy person. He hid after he won his first Canadian Amateur because he was afraid to be in front of large crowds. He intentionally played the last nine hole of the New Orlean's PGA even he entered. He knew he could not accept the trophy in front of a large crowd.
