Heres my issue. Thr ripper knew the streets of whitechapel very well. He was able to elude everyone. Someone who shows up on a ship and doesnt know the area couldnt do that. Even a police officer at the time called the east end a labyrinth.

I agree, there are some odd paradoxes in quite a few theories. It would be easier to accept that the person wasn't local, but as you point out, it would make more sense if they were. 👍🤔

Feigenbaum is a very weak suspect. The biggest problem with him is that there's no evidence that he was in England at the time of the murders. "He could have been because he was a sailor" isn't enough. We don't know that he really confessed, and there's good reason to question that he did, and even if he did, it would mean little, because there are many people who confessed to committing the murders that we know didn't really do it. There really is very little reason to suspect him.
