Thanks Rich, I asked the dealer about that and they said it was just a technical bulletin, not a recall, so I had to pay because the extended maintenance plan refused to pay for it. I didn't mind paying for it because it wasn't that expensive - I was just happy there was a relatively cheap solution and that the light wouldn't have a mind of its own anymore :-)

+Ron H (RonnieRon) Sorry to hear Ron, the only way to fix it is replacing the entire regulator & motor. It's not cheap, but when it works, it just feels so good ;)

Same issue here, now I found that disconnecting the battery for 10 min will reset the one-touch close function, this way I'm able to still close the window without it going back down, leave the defective window without the one-touch programming.

bowss100 It does work but so archaic. I would have liked a USB or SD card slot. My Cadillac CTS came standard with USB and SD card slots. So I miss that feature I guess.

The little player I had plugged in was playing music directly into the Aux from a mini SD card. When you play music via Bluetooth through a 3rd party player into the AUX, the sound will suffer. But the quality on mine was equal to playing directly via an OEM USB

I'm not sure in Yen how much, but when I bought it five years ago it was around $35,000. Today it's probably worth half that.

To be fair, my title doesn't say "How to replace an XF window". I did a video on how to remove the door pad to get to the window and basically, you have to replace the window motor and mechanism. The parts aren't cheap but it will fix any issues the window is showing.

Thanks i have a 2010 and i am confused. Does the car not have a digital speedometer? It erks me so bad having to look at the dial one to see how fast I'm going. Ive looked at all settings and manual and couldn't find anything. Thanks again for the videos

You are right, it doesn't have a digital speedo. I moved to the Jag from a Cadillac CTS and that had it. Was quite handy without having to calculate where the needle was. The Jag does have a speed limiter though, so you can set that (behind the round gearknob) so that your car will never go over a certain speed - not sure why though as they are built for speed. The trip on the center display only shows gas mileage etc, but not speed. Strange, because my old Audi's Sygic Satnav has a digital speed readout and one would think the Jag's SatNav would show you your speed in mph or kph. Technology is scary when buying a car, because they're becoming like phones - in one day, outdated the next ;D

Hey Debbs, it's rare that your Jaguar XF will let you lock your key inside because it will refuse to lock the door. It's almost impossible. But if you do manage to circumvent the XF's systems and somehow lock your fob inside, the only way would be to use your spare fob to get inside again.

Don't worry, all the attachments come with the MP3 player. You'll get an audio aux cable, power cable with lighter socket (with 2 usb inputs - one for charging your phone and one for playing music through) and it also has a mini SD card slot which I prefer to use. It can also handle bluetooth calls, but I prefer the XF's bluetooth as its clearer. Plugging it into your aux socket provides same as CD quality sound - if you connect it via the FM frequency, you lose audio quality, no bass, tinny and sounds like an old AM radio. I've had mine about a year now and still works great.
