Here's some of the things the Jags are planning to do to the stadium: Replace HVAC plumbing mechanical and electrical systems, increased space for football operations, better vertical transportation, shade on all seats and wider concourses

The seating bowl needs to be changed to where the bowl is at a steeper angle. The upper deck gives the worst views of field.

I think roofs on stadiums are creepy. It's always been creepy to look up when you're at a concert or game or event and see all of the stuff hanging off the ceiling, especially if there's something big hanging over your head. I understand the elements, but it is more natural to have the sky above you when you're in a huge setting like sitting together with tens of thousands of people.

Jacksonville Black Bulls? It was just Bulls. I loved going to the games we had season tickets when I was a kid. There was more people going to those games then the Jags now unfortunately. Hopefully the new stadium will change that.

Tech its not really a dome. Its still a open air stadium with a transparent roof. The roof just reduces the heat from the sun which is critical. Jags average 120+ calls from heat related health concerns every game in September. This will drastically reduce those numbers. Its really needed. Whats a roof to possibly someone dying? Saves one life it paid for itself. In my opinion.

While it is roughly a 60/40 split, don't discount the fact that the Jags are agreeing to be responsible for any cost overruns. There WILL be cost overruns on this. By the end, it could end up being that the Jaguars are paying more than the city.

Shahid Khan will also take on anything extra for the budget if it goes over. IMO he should have taken on 80% of the cost just like any owner should being the 8th richest owner. The city already built the practice facility and pays for any ruining cost( which he should also). These owners get major tax breaks and make the majority of the revenue. They should have just built an entire new stadium on the southeast side of Jacksonville off of JTB Boulevard where they have more major roads and been able to have plenty of parking.

@777dwbrown Every market shares the cost not just small markets. Thats why the Chiefs aren't happy because they can't get funding. They shouldn't have to at all IMO. @@pheonix1023 Revenue for the league obviously. Don't get me wrong I do like that the NFL blesses cities with Super Bowls, but a neutral site that is owned and operated by the NFL and is used as the "official site of the Super Bowl," would clearly bring them loads of cash annually. Not to mention the NFL has the bank to build a world class stadium that would rival the best in the world. You can't scoff at their marketing genius that would be foolish.

And 150 to 300 million for revitalizing Eastside neighborhood to promote construction jobs and jobs to the stadium and stadium district and to fix it up add affordable housing. So wasting money on that area when the whole city could use that money. But know it to keep the area a black neighborhood black business area so know one else could live there and make it thrive. isn’t that all to one self and spending taxpayers money on one location alot of money. Would that be a one race a segregation of favoring and not living of races together like the rest of the city of suburbia in Jacksonville. Also could use the rest of that money to put back the stuff they took out of the rendering.

There is a 100% chance this stadium will never be built. For those of you not local to Jacksonville, know that this pathetic city can only build wood framed apartment buildings. This project is WAY beyond its capabilities. So in conclusion, the jaguars will not be getting a new stadium.
