@@trackmaster152002 There's a huge difference between the in-game experience and watching on TV. Plus, if you are going to do a ranking, think about the other aspects of the stadium like parking or ease to get there. Wrigley and Fenway have trains to get you there easily, but I would not want to park at either. Here in Atlanta, there's no subway to get to the stadium and parking at Truist can be challenging. One of the reasons I love Petco is not only because it's a great stadium, but there is a walkway from the Omni Hotel to the park. Couldn't ask for anything easier. Oakland is easily the worst stadium, but their parking lots are huge and it's on the BART.

If you not sitting in the outfield seats in right field, it's hard to find your seats. Now that was my first time going to that stadium so it was hard to get around, but still. Right field seats are right by the entrance. Soon as you walk through the door, it's right in front of you. You can't miss it. Another problem is going to the upper deck. My seat was in left field. I just wanted to walk around since it was my first time going there. It took me an hour to get back to my seat From going to the upper deck. It's very difficult to get around if it's your first time going there

Do you know what would make the Oakland Coliseum and Tropicana Field worse? Put the Coliseum in FL and the Trop in CA. Adding hot, humid weather to the Coliseum would make it that much worse, and sitting in a dome in the beautiful Bay Area weather would be depressing.

The latest renovation of Rogers Centre was completed this winter and it completely replaced and reconfigured the field level and lower bowl seats to a dedicated baseball configuration. Also, new bars and public areas were built under the new stands, in addition to new training and clubhouse facilities. They embrace the arch structure in critical infrastructural junctions making it not only structurally sound but embrace the history of the city. It's a stadium that's structurally sound, embraces the main feature of the city in its structure, has a classical look, and embraces the history of the organization.

I haven’t been there since 2008 but it was one of my favorites. I absolutely loved it. I have been there with both the roof open and closed. Certainly it’s great when it is open but it doesn’t feel cavernous like Chase Field or Rogers when it is closed.

The fact that the roof doesn't seal the stadium is what makes it great. Froze my ass off watching an opening day vs the Sox when Pedro was pitching. Yeah, he killed the M's, but it was still a great experience, and heavy ass PacNW ales are ideal to deal with the wet cold.

Question have you been to Dodger Stadium? The off ramps and streets are packed on game day so it takes 40 minutes to get from the 5 freeway to a parking spot. Day games very little shade and the cost. I know because I been there a dozen times. Also Yankee Stadium is in a bad neighborhood with very little parking at 60 dollars a game.
@dazed1nycАй бұрын
The old Yankee Stadium was in the same neighborhood and nobody would ever say it was a bad stadium. Also, I don't know where you park but I pay 40 to park at Yankee Stadium.

@markeschen2 ай бұрын
Oracle is entering it's 25 season and it's beginning to age a bit. Nothing major, but the place could use a refresh. You're abolutely right that the relocation of the bullpens looks like it was done on the cheap. A lot of the park needs a fresh coat of paint. I was in the locker room during fan fest and was surprised at how worn out it looked. And the tunnels under the first level have always looked unfinished (a lot of concrete and duct work in a relatively enclosed space), which seem inappropriate since they are being used by the highest paying fans not located in the suites. Place needs to be treated a bit more like they're planning on using it another 25 years (which is reasonable given that I believe the Giants can extend the lease past 2060).

Yankee stadium I agree became alittle cooperate. One thing that stood out to me going to Yankee stadium was seeing the 4 train pass by and still seeing the count house and other apartment buildings. The old Yankee stadium brung so much originality of how the Bronx, NY is and NYC it self. Not a bad spot to Yankee Stadium in but the old Yankee will forever be legendary status

It is awful how teams want a new stadium every couple of years. And want the voters to pay for it. No city should build a new stadium and only help with upgrades for the stadium itself and not a "ballpark village".

The Battery (Truist) , where the Atlanta Braves play (and win ) is actually located in Cobb County. Cumberland Mall was built there in that area in the 70's, and there is almost as many roads named Cumberland as there are roads named Peachtree. Thanks for your thoughts.

T-Mobile: A green wall in centerfield drew the ire of batters. As the sun went down over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, it sent a glare off the wall. That made it difficult for batters to pick the ball when it left the pitcher's hand. The Mariners tried a number of fixes, including PLANTING TREES. Eventually, the trees were removed, the wall was painted and a black honeycomb material was placed on the wall.

T-Mobile park did have trees in center field for the batter's eye, but they had to remove them due to player complaints that they could not pick up ball. They tried a couple different solutions before settling on what is out there now.

@HoshizakiYoshimasa2 ай бұрын
Sunday and most Saturday games are day. Baseball traditionally was day games only. Dim stadiums are trash stadiums. It's not an airport hanger. Baseball is a summer ritual and meant to be played outside. If a team MUST have a roof stadium, they need natural light

Tigers play a lot of day games at Comerica. And considering it doesn't get dark until almost ten during the summer, games that start at six or six thirty are hardly night games . I hate the earlier starts for night games.

Honestly the biggest issue with Tropicana Field is -- there is one road in and that same one road, out. Its a NIGHTMARE to get to, and because everyone must take the same route, it gets jammed up and makes what could be a short trip into a tedious, long and often slow, trek -- then you get to the stadium and its dark and sterile -- It just doesnt lend itself to a pleasant experience.... But if you could pick The Trop up and move it to a central location that was easy to get to -- i bet it would have twice the attendance....
