I was 10 yrs old when i heard this on a radio station in Jacksonville Florida 92.7 the beat fm and it changed my life forever and my mommas as i went out and bought this tape and played it over and over if i would play this for her now in 2022 she would have a meltdown as i played it over and over and then a few years later she let me go to my first concert Run Dmc & Beastie Boys....

I was in 1st grade when this came out. I remember seeing people break dance all the time back then. I really miss this decade it was such a different world back then.

These are clips from two movies. The first is Breakin' and the second is Beat Street This style is music was a sub-genre of hip-hop called Electro Funk The lady in the vid is Rae Dawn Chong, Tommy Chong's daughter (from Cheech & Chong), she's an actress herself, though it's been years since I've seen her in anything

Fun fact that younger guy at 7:48 ish in your video is Shooter Mcgavin 😂 from the movie “Happy Gilmore.” The golfer that Adam Sandler’s character’s Happy plays against in the movie! And I also think that one gal looks familiar as well. The one you pointed out as a possible singer. There’s a few people in this vid. that I think I missed. And I do believe it’s from the movie Breakin as well. I could be wrong. There’s another Jam On It music vid. so that may be the one with the Breakin’ scenes. Anyways I wanted to say thx for reacting to this song/vid. A lot of people don’t react to it. New Subbie. ✌🏻& 💙 Ttyl

2 of my favourite movies from back in the day Beat Street (set in the South Bronx,New York) and Breakin (Set in L.A.) There was also a second movie. Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo. All movies were made in 1984. Interesting fact with that scene at the end. Boogaloo Shrimp (or Turbo in the movie) appears to dance on the walls and ceiling because they used a rotating set which was also used in the Lionel Richie track 'Dancing on the ceiling' kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pdyfad2o25yoiGg.html
