I think the researchers of LBC are very selective about who actually gets on the show. Of course, against people like IDS he couldn't lose! Rarely, someone will get through who really know their subject and O'Brien is lost!

Ruth He interviewed Nigel Farage and totally destroyed him which really doesn't happen very often with Farage, he usually weasels his way out of things. I am by no means a harsh critic of James O'brien. I do enjoy listening to him on occasions. Having said that, you do most definitely have a point. He almost tries to fill silences with unnecessary parts to his sentence. A bit like my comment lol. Wouldn't want him operating an emergency services response.
