Japan 2023 - Crazy Miata at Tsukuba Circuit

I went to Japan to visit my favorite race track and I rented a Honda S660 to get there. I have done literally thousands of laps of Tsukuba Circuit in video games and this was my first time being there IRL. It was also my first time driving a Honda S660. The S660 is such a wild little car. It's got a big personality wrapped in a small package. The cars at Tsukuba Circuit were awe inspiring! Usui's time attack Miata was like nothing I had ever seen. It had ITB's, loads of dry carbon and an onboard air jack system. The track was totally accessible and the people were friendly. It was an extraordinary experience. I hope you enjoy going on this adventure with me!

Awesome video of what a trip to see Tsukuba is like, hopefully I can also go visit one day. Would love to see your impressions on a FX16 vs AE86 vs AW11 comparison, I always found it interesting how versatile the 4AGE was for Toyota in the 80s.

Duuuuude... So awesome you went to Tsukuba. You're def living the dream. Hearing you speak Japanese was a real surprise. 👀 The S660 review was fantastic. Kei cars rock. Are we getting more Japanese content or did you visit Tsukuba Circuit only? I freaking love Japan, really hoping there's more.

I also went to Tokyo Auto Salon. It was also my first time and I need to go through the footage and figure out how to make it presentable. I took a semester of Japanese which helped a lot. I’m definitely coming back to make more content.

That is so awesome! Such a dream come true indeed. This has actually also been my dream for a while with the same intent as taking my ND MX-5 to Japan and touring the country that way. I love the S660. One of my favourite cars. We're lucky enough to have them here as occasional imports, but they're getting harder to find in Manual. The mugen version of the S660 is also an amazing one! Great to see you uploading. Awesome content as always

I went to Nerberg Ring and drove it last summer. So much fun. Got to watch qualifying for the 24hours. When I got home I watched 18hours out of 24. So fun.

with the turbo mid engine car, its time to continue the 80s track and get the middle ground between the elise and fx16 and get an aw11! put a turbo on a 4a and have some fun!

This is awesome, I just visited in December but sadly I could only get a Toyota Aqua GR with a CVT but it was still nice for the some of the more cramped streets. I did drive out to Hakone and rent an AE86 with Fun2Drive which I can't recommend enough. I'm trying to move to the greater Tokyo area for a little bit and would be content owning something like the s660 honestly.

I’ve been to Fun2Drive as well. I drove the silver r34. S660 would be such a great daily driver if you can manage with the non-existent storage capacity.
