I saw this video about a year and a half to two years ago and told myself to make a mental note and forgot but just got reintroduced as I have the exact same issue. coincidentally i’m running essentially the exact same setup; 7age silvertop (close enough), 1nz coil conversion, and a link ecu. Only difference is i’m in a 6th generation celica but hopefully this’ll work just fine

8:51 Hey, off-topic question. I need to disassemble a speedometer that has the same kind of 3D clear ring on it as this AE92 tachometer. Would you please describe how to detach that ring without breaking anything? Has it got screws, clips or glue? Thank you.

That was awesome. You really pushed that Mazda! I love the dude with the Honda Jazz. Get what you can and get out there! Looking at those comparison videos at the end. The cars that were faster than you seemed to settle faster when changing direction. I think somehow stabilising the car in weight transitions will help go faster.

They are +40 offset. I picked them up from Goodwin racing. They’re on clearance right now. I did have to roll my fenders to get the 245 tires not to rub.

*_Ohhh,_** how I miss that sound!!! . . .* 👌 Was watching the whole episode with a _constant_ grin plastered from ear to ear, as I simultaneously was transported back to my two previous Corolla GTi TwinCam's (as it was marketed here in Norway), the first one was in the white livery, the second in red (the only two colors available at the introduction!) I got it from MRP New Zealand. You’ll need to check with them if they support the 5AFE.

Hey man, what size bet did you use for the power steering pump without a tensioner? I saw the same being asked on an old video of yours when you replaced the vvti pulley. I have removed the ac in my car and mrp are charging $300+ for a non ac tensioner, so would be great to know the belt length to avoid all that, cheers.

I don’t recall what size it was. I used some non-stretchy string (shoe laces work) and wrapped it around the pulleys to get a measurement. Then I went to my auto store and got a belt a little bit smaller so it would stay on snug. The belt cost me like 15 bucks.
