Hello. I'm from Somalia. My favourite food from there is Galamudo. It's like home made noodles cooked in a meat stew. The noodles are finger length and slightly fatter than pasta. And made out of flour, bit of oil and hot water or broth for rich flavour. I've tried loads of Galamudo, restaurants, friends, relatives etc but my mom makes the best😋!!

Thanks brother, I’m not sure about that. I’ve seen your “delicate” fingers work magic in the garage, I’m convinced those attributes would translate well in the kitchen too. We’re opening Bentoya from next Monday, so you’re more than welcome to pop down whenever you’re in the area!!!! Much love to you and Pen x

As not a Japanese nor a chef myself, of those global knife skills clips I watched over KZfaq, I always come down to reckoning the Japanese knife skills are, though pretty hard (if not the hardest) to pick up, the outcome is just one standing at the top of the tree.

I'm from Norway, and my favorite Norwegian food is lightly salted Cod cutlet with a Norwegian buttersauce called sandefjordsmør(translating to butter from Sandefjord) which is a heavy cream reduction with a lot of butter and parsley with lemon, salt and pepper, and some nicely cooked potatoes ♡ My second favourite is the one i eat the most which is called betasuppe, (soup from pieces i think would be the best translation) thats a soup made with salted meats i use lamb because that's what grandma did, and the rest is rootveg, varying from house to house but me and my fiancé use potatoes, swede, carrots, seleryroot, also with onions and leeks

Hi chef dai. I'm from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and my favorite dish in my country is pork sinigang, a sour soup with vegetables and the famous adobo. stewed chicken or pork in garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and bay leaves. I was a food fan ever since i was a kid i first fell in love with asian food. not because im asian, but the diversity and the ways on how asians cook their food. My favorite food beside filipino food are japanese and chinese food. I was 8 years old when i first cooked my first fried rice.. after watching this anime called shin chuuka ichiban lol i can still remember the first food battle he had was mafo tofu. And now because of shokugeki no soma I'm so obsessed with asian cooking and also the knives! I really hope to win that beautiful knife and enhance my cooking skills. Lots of love from the Philippines and more power chef dai!

Hi Chef! I’m Chinese American, I would have to say my favorite dish is a simple pork broth with pork and meatballs. It’s something my mom used to make for me all the time, so it’s a comfort meal for me. And also, I enjoy how versatile it is, since I can have it with rice, noodles, etc.

I’m from Canada and my favourite national dish of course is poutine. Not just the traditional poutine of cheese curds and gravy but because we are an international country, I have seen so many amazing multicultural versions pop up. Butter chicken poutine, bbq pulled pork poutine, seafood chowder poutine. The options are endless and I believe it really shows off Canada’s international roots.

Wow that's amazing. I am from Taiwan but I currently live in Canada. My favourite dish has to be 素麵線, a vegetarian noodle dish with really thick broth. This dish was introduced to me when I was old enough to walk to the morning markets in Taiwan with my grandma. Since she was vegetarian, this dish was the only breakfast option for us. I can't wait to go back to Taiwan after covid is over.

Hi Chef Dai! This is my entry for the giveaway. Im from Indonesia and my absolute favourite dish from here is "nasi goreng" which translates to fried rice/yakimeshi. I like it because it's a unique fried rice that uses sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) rather than regular soy sauce which most fried rices do. It just proves that this dish is just like a blank canvas. There are so much room for adjustment and experiment so it will never get boring because we can always try different flavour combination. Anyways, love your uploads and im so happy you're uploading again!! 😊

Hi, I love your simple yet delicious recipes.. I am from Malaysia, here we have 3 prominent cooking styles and I have favorite dishes from all three (Malay, Chinese and Indian) styles. But all these styles are kinda mashed and integrated in Nyonya/ Peranakan cuisine, thus my favorite dish is Curry Mee (Mee Kari) which has yellow noodles served with thick and creamy meat curry and prawns, long beans, tofu and fresh bean sprouts as it's topping. It almost always comes with spicy chilli paste to add spicyness to our liking. I was mouthwatering even when describing this dish🤤😋😂. I guess I'll get it from the nearest hawker stall for lunch today! Keep on inspiring and introducing us with great recipes..❤️💕

Those are some crazy good knife skills, chef Dai! My chefs also taught me many ways to turn cucumbers into a beautiful garnish, and I've since been using it often in my oriental dishes! Anyways, that's a stunning gyuto knife! I'm from the Philippines and my favorite dish from here is probably Kare-kare. It's an ox tail, peanut-based stew that has a lot of complexity in flavor. As weird as it sounds, it's actually really, really good! Great vid, chef Dai, and goodluck to everyone who participated in the giveaway! :^)

Hey I’m from Denver Colorado United States. America isn’t known for its cuisine internationally besides hot dogs and hamburgers haha but I love the twists America makes to Japanese sushi in America.
