Desk build using the Jarvis frame by Fully and a desk top from IKEA.
“Jarvis Frame Only” www.fully.com/standing-desks/... $385.00
Table Top “Gerton” www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/pr... $90.00
Wood Stain, Sand Paper and other material came to $40.00.
Total cost was $515.00.

Thanks for the great video! I've been looking for the right combo of frame + IKEA tabletop to make a desk for cheap but wasn't sure how it would look or if there would be any hardware issues combining them. This turned out awesome!

Mac user - explains it all - put all the screws in loose - do not tighten anything until all the screws are aligned

I have the same butcher block, mine is unfinished, and would have liked to have seen you attach the frame to desk.

rydmerlin I laid the butcher top side down on the ground and the top of the frame (upside down) on it. Then i screwed the frame to the wood and then turned it over.

Hi again. Were you able to just screw in the screws with no pre-drilled holes?

Sanding against the grain? just did mine btw, just need to get the standing desk now

did you have any problem putting the screws in the wood? or was it easy to do? I ask because I will buy the Gerton board and Jarvis frame, thanks !!!!!

Thank for the question. I had no issue screwing into the wood. I reccommend using a good power drill. Have fun.
