In this video I review the Bicycle Unicorn playing cards, printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC). Possibly my last deck review video. :) I randomly thought it would be fun to make one more of these.... just like the old days!

The action part was wild! The asymmetricalality (just made that word up; it's legitimate though) of the cards doesn't really bother me as long a they are all in the sane direction when placed back into the box.

EU stands for États-Unis its the french version USA as is Estados Unidos in Spanish

In Spanish it's EEUU. When the word its plural, the letter is written twice.

Playing Cards Facts: *12 courts cards:* 12 months in a year. *52 cards in a pack* 52 weeks in a year. *13 cards in each suit* 13 weeks in each quarter, and 13 lunar cycles! 4 Suits - 4 Seasons Red/Black - Day & Night Add up the values eg 11 Jack 12 Queen 13 King ... You get 365 (days of the year) [Add the second Joker = 366 for a Leap Year!] (I think they're inspired from French Tarot cards but l will check.) Also the total number of letters in the values of the cards _sans_ the Jokers is 52!

Yes it annoys me that there is an up and down and the Unicorn is upside down when they could have designed a double-headed Unicorn

But, you can have someone pick a card and place it back in the deck, having turned the deck so they are putting it in reversed. Makes it easy to find. A quick fan, held up where you can see the backs and the spectator can see the faces (as if you are showing that their card is lost and all the cards are different) lets you easily spot and get a break while closing the cards. This allows you to put it on the top or bottom with a cut and a couple of false cuts. Once on top or bottom you can turn the card without the spectator knowing, so they are all in the same direction. Then choose your own method to reveal the card.

I saw these today in a hobby shop and bought them just because I remembered seeing your video and thought they were pretty. I seriously hope that this is not the last deck review you do. Much love.

To date, I've bought 2 packs of the rainbow gilded versions of these. There was a print run of 2500 for them and 10 of them are purple gilded. I'm trying to get a purple gilded deck if anyone knows anyone that has gotten one already. I've only seen two so far in the world. One guy that works for Bicycle had one at a convention and I've seen a photo of a second deck on the internet so far. So there are apparently 8 more purple gilded unicorn decks that either haven't been found yet (even though this deck was released in 2018) or maybe people have decided to not open the decks to see if they got one. Or since Bicycle still has some for sale maybe they weren't popular enough of a deck to all be bought so quickly. I have a rainbow gilded on its way to my house now from bicycle so fingers crossed they are in there.

We have these as well, super fun and exciting for children "and adults alike" I found them pretty identical to more pricy decks for much less .. Loved that it came with a double backker ..

Jason, I really enjoy your TUTORIALS and all of your KZfaq VIDEOS. You have a great sense of humor and your technique is awesome. I especially like the way you present so clearly the many steps required in performing your card moves, no matter what they are. Your so good at using this media to teach, thank you so very much! I am curious, do you have a full listing of everything you have put out for your Magic Lessons? I wanted to learn how you did the move that allows the card you place on the mat, to fly back onto the deck. One of your other subscribers asked about it as well, it is located at 3:40 on the video. It was so amazing! I am pretty sure it is an advanced move but still, I would love to try and see if I can learn it. Please let me know if you have a listing of all your tutorials and I look forward to your future ones as well!

Well that was fun, I know I was delighted Jason. What a pretty deck of cards. I know a lot of magicians probably would have preferred the half Unicorn Design look but it is pleasing to look at it as is. Darn that pesky card at 3:40 just never wants to stay put Hahaaa It is a wanderer. I see you went shirt shopping.

@@billyjeffersoniv4344 Hmmm I did back the kickstarter project and got some of the blues and reds, but I didn't bother to go any further than that. I think the vintage would be interesting... but I'm trying to avoid buying too many cards nowadays because I already bought so many in the past! 😆 It has to be REALLY amazing for me to consider buying it now. Plus... I find that when I'm normally performing I just use red Bicycle cards most of the time. I still love cards.. but just not buying them as often now.... in addition the Vintage Jerry's are printed by EPCC, not USPCC... so I'm not sure how I would like the feel. It would be interesting to try them... but I can't say much more than that... I'm a big fan of the feel of USPCC cards...

Hey Billy! I kinda sorta do the top shot.... I've never been able to perfectly get it down. I think one thing that helps is not having TOO DRY fingers. Because if your pinky is too dry, it won't be able to grip and fling the card off. I can make a quick Patreon video showing what I know about it... would that be useful?

hey, you're probably not much of a mentalism guy, but spidey put out a video today that introduced me to 'the evasons.' checked them out and was totally blown away. they say they use no stooges, pre-work or electronics. 1. Why stop doing deck reviews? That's the only reason I subscribed. 2. If you're going to do a last deck review, WHY this deck? Not only is it not new, but it's nothing a magician.or cardist would ever pick. This just seems like one big stupid idea tbh. You shouldn't stop, but if you did stop you should make the last one a great deck. You fucked up both of those. Good job.
